Out of curiosity does anyone remember the last decent snow in March for East TN? I’m having trouble remembering one in recent years. -
Measured 3'' in Greeneville. I'm impressed with how well the snow did on the back end of the system.

Greeneville has been trying to transition to snow the last hour. So far just flurries and wet roads.

Here in Greeneville I’m preparing for a lot of rain and sleet maybe an inch. Good luck everyone out west….again. Maybe we can get a good clipper come through to actually see 3 inches of snow

At this point it is highly unlikely. Looking like about the same amount of snow we saw last week.

Terrible run for East TN on the Euro. This is going to be strike three on the year for a good snow. Bust

I can remember we used to average a big snow like that back every few years in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I’m pretty sure our last big event like that was 98. Just weird we haven’t had one since the 2000s.

I know a lot can change by Saturday evening but does anyone have an explanation for why East TN looks to strike out again on a good snow for their third time in a row?? Bad luck every time? I can’t help but think climate change is impacting this region in the last several years. It’s been so long since most of our region has a good widespread 8 inch + snow.

Why do I get the feeling if this snow event does happen East Tennessee will be: A. Too Dry B. Too warm/mixing issues C. All of the above lol

That's two good snows in a row for our central TN friends. It better be the East's turn next time. Probably next year based on the season so far lol

It's wild seeing all this beautiful snow across the state and knowing that it's going to fizzle out in the Eastern Valley starting in just a few hours. Crazy. It looks like we would get so much at first glance of the map.

Yep! Last big snow in Greeneville was 2014. I’m just waiting to get an 8”+ 80s/90s style snow storm again. It’s a shame it’s been decades since we’ve had one that big.

Good luck everyone in Central TN! It looks like it’s shaping up to be a good one. I feel like we’ll be lucky to see 2” again in the Eastern Valley

East TN looking like back 2 back busts. I was so hoping one of these systems would give us a 4-5 in snow minimum.

Oh no doubt, it wasn't in response to that NAM run. Just could see something similar happening with this event that did with Monday's snow. Too warm on the Eastern part of the state then lack of precip once snow mixes in.

I get the feeling this will be a much better snow event for Middle TN compared to the East TN.

Will all the rain and mass of storms around central Alabama help keep instability down for the storms later this evening?

So far at least there aren't a lot of discrete cells in Western Alabama. One large group of storms.

The NE Valley has gotten zero snow love since Christmas Eve. It’s crazy these patterns keep snow away from us each time.
