Total snow and sleet accumulations up to three inches and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch. Highest snow accumulations are expected along the Virginia border. * WHERE...Most of central North Carolina. * WHEN...From 1 PM Friday to 10 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Make sure your car is winterized and in good working order.
  2. HRRR has the precip arriving in the Triangle around 7:00 tomorrow evening as rain and quickly changing to snow.
  3. Euro looked great for the Triangle. Looked like it kept the ice in extreme southern Wake and south of there.
  4. It, the HRRR and the RDPS all look good for us. The NAM is the only one that is concerning.
  5. Would be a gut punch if the NAM was right less than 36 hours out.
  6. Feeling good for at least 2 inches of snow here to break the 3 year drought.
  7. 41 is when it starts to change to sleet and rain in Wake. Looks like we get about 6 hours of snow here before the changeover.
  8. HRRR has it starting as rain here in Wake but changing to snow within an hour.
  9. I see that one is from Tropical Tidbits and includes sleet. The one I was looking at is at Pivitol and I am assuming doesn't include sleet.
