    I think some folks are hung up on wanting huge snow totals and not thinking how big of an impact 3 to 5 inches of snow, freezing rain, and sleet will have.

    Well, we have seen this back and forth dance before with the models. Not like it can't be reality.

    The low is all the way in the Gulf. Isn't that further south than previous runs?

    Triangle could still get a few inches of snow mixed with ice. Maybe it's not a foot of snow, but it will be a major impact storm.

    Well, buckeye was the one that suggested it. Not sure why it matters when it's what everyone is talking about.

    Well, maybe this time they'll go back to the favorable track for the low to bring back the monster snow storm.

    Maybe this will be like the the Christmas 2010 storm where it looked great, then looked awful about 48 hours out only to look great again 24 hours before the storm.

    Looks like we're entering that period where the models start going back and forth. Monday night was great, then started going bad yesterday afternoon, and maybe getting a little improvement now. Back and forth they go. What we'll get, no one really knows.

    Better than I thought it was going to be. 3 to 6 inches of snow for the Triangle with some sleet and freezing rain would be a typical winter storm here.

    Might not get a big snow here, but a mix of some snow and ice would still be a big impact and create a lot of mess.
