  1. It increased our totals slightly but narrowed the precip field slightly from the north. I'm fine with that.
  2. They're completely on TILT over there. Even Stormtracker is claiming we'll get fringed based on the ICON. Let's disregard all other reliable models. What ever. Let them melt down. It's funny.
  3. and still gives all of us a good hit. I don't believe it anyway.
  4. All I take from this (beside southern enjoyment ) is that it's in line with most other models now. Looks great. Just one run but the previous run was a little concerning.
  5. NAM gonna be souther. Panel 45 goes from centralish Illinois to souther Illinois.
  6. yikes. yeh. Lost a couple inches on that run. That's gotta stop.
  7. Any shift east from 12z? It looks like southern amounts ticked up, again without sacrificing our snow. That would be great for our souther brothers.
  8. Very true. There should be some nice members in that group.
  9. Looks like the GEFS are gonna be an improvement as well. Expanded precip field to the south without sacrificing any in the RVA area.
  10. Even better it up'ed our totals a tad and had only a slight shift south it seems.
  11. I'm fairly certain you said "learn to READ a room". I've been here for quite a while reading. What does post count matter? It certainly doesn't appear that your 38K posts have put you on top of the heap.
  12. His last comment was valid but your panties were already in a wad. I'm well read. There's no shortage of junk in this subforum. Pick and choose as you like. Enjoy the snow.
  13. Why such a passive aggressive approach to this guy for the second time tonight? The UKMET is further south and lower in totals than most models. I'm sure you know this. Can't people post their opinions in this thread without a douchy comment? Practically half of the posts in this thread are about IMBY. Seems like the regulars get away with this.....regularly, without any gruff. Lighten up dude. Enjoy the snow.
  14. Thanks RDUG! Made it home a half hour before it started snowing (~3:30). Snowing like heck now. Hope y’all get the good stuff and avoid the ice. I think I’ll see more ice than snow tonight and tomorrow being 15 miles south of the city. Good luck!! .
  15. Any idea of timing on this system? I have to drive the family from Raleigh to Richmond on Saturday, leaving Raleigh around 1:30pm. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!!
  16. Hey folks. I'll try here first so I don't mess up your storm thread. I was wondering if someone could help me out with timing on this. I have to drive from Raleigh back to Richmond tomorrow, leaving Raleigh around 1:30 pm. Any thoughts on conditions?
  17. I did edit my post with a HUGE caveat . I let my love of deep snow cloud my judgement.
  18. Eh. Maybe I just don't want to believe it. The models will bounce around a few more times before the final result is in. Seems the models are handling the system in different ways. Who knows which one is correct. ETA: I have ZERO weather background. This is just what I gather from reading between the lines in the storm thread.
  19. Great day. Minus snow falling, tomorrow will be as good. Kids out of school and Im “working” from home. Have fun folks
  20. Fairly sure the lull isnt a lull. That’s all she wrote! Great ride and it’ll be fun tomorrow with the kids. Looking forward to waking up in the morning to a foot of snow.
