Yeah but when you are getting into late December, it is becoming our climo wheelhouse. The days will be the shortest they are all year.
When you consider since 1888, the Washington DC reporting station has only had snow on the ground 19 times on Christmas Day, late December still isn’t our wheelhouse. From a climo sense its more likely the 23rd storm favors the interior. Hope I’m wrong.

Possible that both camps are not wrong.
Could turn out to be an inland/cutter low with a transfer to a coastal.
From a December climo perspective that is the most likely outcome. Especially favoring the interior areas. Climo is king.

There's a reason he didnt get his contract renewed in Philly.
Not sure what you alluding to. Doug was at NBC10 and was getting poached by CBS3 near the end of his contract. NBC10 attempted to renew him but negotiations failed. He went to CBS3 and NBC10 enforced the “no compete” clause which kept him from joining CBS3 for 6 months. That doesn’t happen if the “contract isn’t renewed.”
When his CBS3 contract expired he came home to WRC when Bob Ryan retired. -

IMO, Cappucci just seems to stir the pot when it comes to NWS warning operations. He's gone on about the size of storm based warnings, the size of watch boxes, the color of mesoscale discussion areas on SPC website and other seemingly trivial things. I totally understand that you can question things, but he seems to give back handed compliments pretty regularly.
Matt is about one thing…himself. Right or wrong, he’s playing the game to make a name for himself.

Take a look at that whiter piece diving out of Canada straight into the trough. That’s a very important piece to this puzzle for a bigger storm potential. The quicker and sharper that dives into the system, it will allow the trough to organize better, sharper, and begin to tilt the axis neutral to negative. The only thing the GFS didn’t do that the Euro did is close off, which I am kind of surprised it didn’t. Surface could’ve been better imo. Maybe not Euro nuclear, but better. It’s really close to getting there. Regardless, it fits well into even my prediction right now, so solid trends on guidance.
Imagine if we had even a bit of blocking in the NA....that loop would go insane.

Alright how can I be a better poster, any resources I can read or something so I can learn and try to understand how the atmospheric maps translate to the surface? That would be a lot more helpful than just saying I’m not a great poster.
How to be a better poster? Read more, post less. Ask questions.

Too many memes? I’m sorry.
Haha no. Their names rhyme with “Dorm Eraser Chuck” and “Rice-Vegent.” Just brutal posters.
Keep the memes coming. -
