Maybe this goes in the banter thread but how come we get huge rain events in Feb but when it’s cold enough for snow we get the dry slot? I’m at 3.14” for the month in rain.
Not much going on now but I went back to the 2018-2019 thread and saw we had two downgrades from WSW to WWA. That’s crazy. I’m actually in a bad mood now lol.
One of the forecasts from the nws actually said this and it is making my blood boil because I know how that turned out.
Its not an exaggeration to state that a difference of 40 or 50
miles will be the difference between 1 to 2 inches of snow and 8
to 12 inches of snow.
Was supposed to get 4”, got less than 1” unless somehow I can squeak out a little this morning. Changed to snow early enough, but then amazingly the storm dried up.
Starting a project today. Going to track last forecasted snowfall for each storm for my location and final measurement. Interested to see over 10-15 storms how accurate the last forecast is and if on average the forecast is high or low and by how much.
Yes just scraped both cars about a tenth of an inch on the windshield. Had to pry open the doors but got them open. About 1/4” of sleet. Now all snow but very dry and small flakes. Been doing that for 20-30 minutes and no accumulation.
