  1. Thanks for reminding me! It's the first time I've watched the snow, so I'm excited!

  2. What was the highest temp in the tristate, Ray? I saw that EWR hit 95.
  3. I remember a few times here on the south shore of western LI we were in the low 90s and you were in the upper 80s lol.... we also had three days of 100+ and NYC only had 2. JFK also had 10 days of 95+ and I think NYC had less than that.
  4. I agree with Mallow, excellent cam!

  5. Summer of 1956 is the only one that comes to mind in relatively recent history.
  6. Awesome 11 year pattern How many did 1933 have? 1955 which was a true scorcher should have made it too. Irrespective of how many 90 degree days they had 1933 and 1955 still belong on this list for having multiple 100 degree days.
  7. Correct, I made a statistical comparison with the other stations and they all had like 4-5 89 degree days while NYC had twice as much..... NYC should have had 47-48 90 degree days last year.
  8. Haha theyre going to change the name for it soon, you should pick a good one and post it in that thread in OT.

  15. Theyre just getting you prepped for the Yankee thread next spring, Mike.
  16. Exactly..... the fact that people still discriminate based on what they see with their eyes says much more about them then it says about the people they are discriminating against.
  17. Its actually a really big problem in all the sciences, because the need to be able to communicate is fundamental-- otherwise each specialty becomes compartmentalized and convoluted and causes scientists to have no idea what is going on in terms of progress in fields outside their specialty (and sometimes even within.) Some of which could actually benefit their own line of work. It's actually better now-- before the internet, I dont even want to think about how bad it was back then.
  18. Happy Hannukah !

  19. I know ;) I like it too and even sounds a bit like former mayor Ed Koch lol
