We are still getting hammered this morning. It hasn't let up at all. Roads are a mess, the winds will cut right through you. Good times!
Same up here...solid snow and winds...will send out some pics in a bit...took a ride down 194 into Boone and Boone was getting a nice snow around 7:15ish...WCS closed today and I bet they will tomorrow...on the way down all the side roads were covered...and in Boone too

0z 3km Nam is still really impressive in the upslope areas tomorrow night. I wonder if we'll see WSW's for above 3500 going up.

And the 0z 12K NAM looks interesting for Friday into Saturday...

That system next Friday, 2/21 looks interesting and talked to an older man up here and he said that this winter reminded him of 1993...but I don't have the resources to 'fact-check' that...but I do remember March 1993...would welcome any resources to check that claim...

This has been a decent band. It's laid down an inch in about 45 minutes and still pouring. Glad you're getting some on your trip, I mean with the hot tub and all.

I’m looking forward to my first trip to the mountains of North Carolina. Have heard from many people how beautiful Maggie Valley is. Hoping that this is the start of some good trends for all of us that will be in these areas.
The NW Blue Ridge is much better IMO large views, cliffs and peaks...hit the parkway up here between Blowing Rock and Linville...then go to Hampton's General Store for some awesome food
