  1. North Conway recorded 0.1” What a bust there. Seems almost unbelievable. Randolph is the only site in NH that verified the forecast.
  2. Looking at CoCoRaHS it appears I was the highest total in New England.
  3. 14.4 for Randolph from the COOP guy.
  4. Was he sitting in his living room enjoying that view he just posted while you were digging out the car? LOL
  5. That’s a good idea. LOL I just measured 8 in a few protected spots on the front side of the house, FWIW. It certainly felt like that much snow while I was out there with the kids. It’s gotta be north of 6 or 7.
  6. The airmass for this thing really is garbage. The snow further south was basically all driven by dynamics.
  7. Down to 30 here. Wind picking up. Snow ripping.
  8. Nice! It looks like I have a little more here. I measured 5-6 in spots.
  9. Measured 5 in a few spots. 3-4 on the hard surfaces.
  10. Damn, hope that improves. Between 3-4" here. It's starting to pile up better now with the sun down. It was pretty soggy all day.
  11. Peeked at the latest NAM Kuchera map: 25 inches to go! LOL
  12. Radar looks pretty good. Seems to be throwing precip back a little further west than the truly crappy runs had. Hate these storms where it rains first, always takes a while to overcome that heat release and really pile up the snow. The models tend to just assume as soon as it flips to snow it will start piling up...
  13. Really looking forward to seeing his obs tomorrow. I will go up that way in a bit and see what's going on in comparison to here. This is definitely the sort of event where that extra 200 feet can make a difference, at least with this early marginal part.
  14. It's definitely whiter here in person than the fisheye view on the cam gives you. That thing can be a little deceiving.
  15. Grass and decks are turning white now, but it is definitely still wet out there. It's just slightly below freezing on the PWS and there is plenty of warmth in the ground still. I actually figured things wouldn't get rolling until the afternoon so this all feels reasonably ahead of schedule to me. Prime time is supposed to be evening and overnight here as the low bombs off Maine, It's 36 and plain rain down in Gorham. Would much rather have this than that!
  16. I can definitely see a scenario now where we "underperform" with the cement phase of this but get 5 inches of high-ratio fluff after the low has moved away to put us over the top. It isn't going to be well-forecast by the models, but they show lingering snow over the usual spots for quite a while even as the low heads well off into the great unknown. Should be neat, really makes it a two-phase event.
  17. I figured as the winds shift NW a death band will get jammed up against the northern greens, at least. I am still learning climo around here, but that just seems like something I'd expect to see later on with this event, accompanied by highly-accurate J. Spin obs piling up the totals. LOL I will keep an eye out on radar for it.
  18. I’m all light snow here now. 33 degrees.
  19. Nice forecast. Hopefully your memory holds. LOL
  20. What are we talking in terms of extra snow? This is of course different with a large bombing low pull down moisture on NW winds. Seems like a good setup.
  21. Yep, I have noticed the recent runs that miss us with some of the synoptic stuff keep upslope overhead for a long while.
