  1. Yes, EP. We lost yesterday to NJ 1-0. NJ was the most hyped team going into the Mid Atlantic tourney and picked to win, however they just lost lost to DC. This EP team was last years Eastern National Champion at 11U. We'll see, even with losing yesterday, i like where we sit. Next Game tomorrow at 10am.
  2. anyone following Little League? My nephew is the catcher on the Pa team
  3. Last year was my first time there, so i'm not sure. We did enjoy the experience though. Places like Chicago and Boston are just a fantastic time. the people help make it a top notch time. (Boston= a beer drinking town with a baseball problem) vegetation showing signs of distress from lack of precip. I was ok when i left on the 26th but when i got back it was a noticeable difference.
  4. as much as i hate the phils, i agree. I will add, i'm glad i was able to get my daughter to Fenway and Wrigley.
  5. I know, wishful thinking. We went under a lightning delay and they ended up calling our game last night. @canderson had no rain, we had 4-5 minutes of it.
  6. as much as i'd like the rain they're calling for today, i really don't want a rain out tonight. can we compromise and have it rain after 10?
  7. poured on the other side of the susky..................for 3 minutes.
  8. I've been soaked and dried like 5 times since 5 am, i bet i smell wonderful this go out then in is killing me. i come inside and get chilled. I'd rather just stay out. I need a beer and a pool.
  9. I heard about it on the radio this morning. Said people were hiding in their basements. Like @canderson said, we didn't have that much rain, but i'm glad we did, it saved me a day of watering. We're gonna need that coming through the weekend ya know.
  10. i heard areas of lanco got smacked around hard last evening
  11. https://www.pennlive.com/news/2019/07/microburst-thunderstorm-brings-downed-trees-wires-to-cumberland-county.html I was in Mechanicsburg getting ready for the Little league game. This was brief, but intense. Trees and debris all over the place. I would love for voyager to be the jack pot and and miss us. We need to get this game in tonight. Outdoor activities Saturday may be non-existent unless you're in a pool and that might not be all that helpful!
  12. Only thing i'm certain of, the temperature of my bottle of Sam Adams Summer Ale, will be 33 degrees.

  14. whoa whoa whoa, easy there fella. Did you hit yo head? To Hot to drink? Starting Tuesday, looks like 90's straight into next week. The Pennsylvania Little League State tournament is being hosted by Camp Hill This year for those of you who didn't know it.
  15. For their minimum staffing, these guys go get it. I had no rain this morning when i left the house at 530, get on the other side of the susky and it looked like it poured all night. and haven't had any rain really since.
  16. Beat up, but all are ok. Yeah, people don't realize HFD has their own water rescue. Boat, well trained crews etc. They have actually been out of the city for swift water rescues. The guys are well trained.
  17. Just a little correction, it was Harrisburg Bureau of Fire that was out doing water rescue training, not river rescue. 2 separate entities. But agreed, 5 lives easily could have been lost due to people not obeying the warning signs.
  18. agreed. i was expecting like a 1 day "break" lol
  19. I'm thinking we could string about 4 or so days of 90s again next week.
  20. Glad there is more heat, just in time for District and state Little league. I love standing at games when its 90 plus and the breeze feels like someone is holding a hair dryer on you.
  21. Thats incredible really, wow. just when i thought we would get rocked, nothing. It literally was all around us almost every day. Saturday was a blast, i just stayed in the pool during the deluge, until the thunder started.
  22. the downpours in the Harrisburg area this morning were legit. Standing water everywhere, even I-81 and almost threw my Tahoe side ways.
