I got some rain but nothing heavy at all - .3” for the day.
Bizarre. It rained so hard Saturday night, i couldn't mow until 1ish yesterday to let it dry out. The firehouse still had standing puddles yesterday afternoon from Saturday night

We might get some thunder and lightning but I don't expect anything severe at all. It's real dry though - could use rain.
did you get all the downpour Saturday night?
I read we're 5" in deficit. I'm not sure about that in my hood

But then you have to listen to the death rattle that is Axl's voice ...
I'm not a huge concert guy. More interested in the social activities then the music. My friends are a good time, 20 total of us. My daughter ask me last night if we were all ok. She said you're not meeting until 130PM, usually it would be kegs and eggs

LOL, if my water stops running I am not calling 911 but understood.
"Hello, 911? My buddies and I went to Taco Tuesday last night and now my toilet is stopped up, emergency! Help!"
you would probably be surprised of things we're called to solve.

Not sure I would think to call the fire company with a frozen pipe.
many times they don't know their pipe is frozen until it thaws, then water starts running.
The fire dept is a service of last resort. You have a problem and don't know who to call, dial 911. Fireman show up and usually can solve the probelm

Do you mean as a fireman or in another role? if former, that would be like the book Farenheiht 451 where the firemen were called to START fires. Here, fireman were called to take away water, not spray it.
lol, yes as a fireman. We don't take away the water. Rehab companies do that.

We haven't had the steam up here that you folks down there have, so I really haven't had a full taste of the summer. Late August is generally when I begin looking forward to fall, but I think I'm there now.
Now watch Indian summer be a scorcher.

Just got out of Monday meetings and was reading a well respected red tagger in the MA thread who posted that conditions in this general area are not favorable for Tornadoes...at least yet. I really hope that holds. Here's to hoping we all get a nice rain with a 15 mph breeze...not likely but I can hope. I don't wish damage on anyone.
agreed, not interested in this severe BS

I'd love to, but I'm unable for some reason on my computer.
I can tell you he's predicting dozens if not hundreds of damage reports across the southern PA into northern VA area, with winds producing roof and tree damage a "lock." Biggest Tornado threat is the southern tier counties of PA down into eastern WV and northern VA. There will be discreet cells as well as a damaging squall line to contend with. Potentially, some areas might experience up to 3 separate rounds before it's all over.
