In that picture for sure. But Katahdin is a monster too for the northeast, at about a mile high...but it’s northeast of the whites, so you can’t get a perspective. Washington is still a thousand feet higher, but Katahdin is very impressive in its own right, and very anomalous as well for N.E. imo.

An average winter isn’t all that bad. I had the 14” one in mid December, and then the 16” one on February 1st that started the 3 week real winter roll here . Those two storms were the majors. However The super bowl storm was impressive here, with 8 plus inches that fell in about 4hrs time, so that was fun. I’d say C+/B- for me here. Could have been much better. Wish March could have delivered something big/fun, which would have given it that extra bump up, but it also had its moments where it was fun, and also impressive.

I’ll take my 17” and be satisfied. That would put an exclamation point on this season, and shoot it into an “A” status here for sure. April ‘82 esque.... but that was even more snow and anomalous. What a blast that was.

I thought you said it was over? Especially down in the concrete jungle where you are. I think everybody outside of extreme northern New England is finished for this winter.

We had good retention here in CT the whole month of February..that’s part of what made that stretch quite good here in SNE.

That wasn’t nasty Kev, just an honest question is all. I don’t feel it’s been AN this month either. We’ve had quite a bit of cold days...this whole week as been winter like. So I’m thinking the same way he is...you’re idea of it being predominantly warm this month is lost on me too. There were a few gorgeous days...but besides that, no.

Was a much better winter southwest of you back this way. I’d give it a C+/B- here. So much better than last years ratter. Sitting at 50.5” on the season...an inch or two above normal. Pretty respectable for my area.

Nobody was really over hyping here..there was some potential for some accumulation. That has since gone away. But no real hyping here I didn’t think. A couple posts about maybe folks being surprised...but you come to expect some of those.

For a couple more days, but I/we done.

Close to 3 feet or so in the woods as of last Monday the 8th, in St Agatha, ME. They usually have much more..but it was certainly adequate.

Back end snows, yes. But originally this was supposed to change to snow, and snow for quite some time(not just back end). And those do work out many times in SNE.

Not really. Was a great winter for me. Between 50” here at home, and sledding up north, I’m completely satisfied, and ready for spring and summer. No regrets here on winter 20-21.

So I guess this isn’t gonna happen?

Goes to show, those tele’s alone aren’t all that is involved...so many more aspects have to go along with those things.

So, there won’t be any “surprised posts” about how much snow is accumulating tomorrow night/Friday am, as you just said on the previous page, cuz now the qpf is gonna be robbed by convection down south?
