  1. How about Saturday? Any chance for a tad NW once this other system is out of the way?
  2. We did better than I figured. Got a couple inches, but it ripped for about 2hrs and gave us 1.5"
  3. Yep. When is the last time we've even gotten a good clipper? Don't fret, another one misses us to the south in 5 days lol
  4. It's becoming increasingly obvious that for whatever reason Central Ohio just doesn't get decent snows anymore. It's still early in the winter, but this one is aggravating.
  5. Dead for me. Be lucky to see 1" in Knox. CMH people getting anything yet or just virga?
  6. Yea. I don't know how anyone is supposed to figure where it's going when models aren't just split by a little bit, but by 3/4 of a state lol.
  7. HRRR is quite a bit further north than the 18gfs same time frame, and quite a bit stronger.
  8. Childhood. You, like me, probably always went out and sled rode, snowball fights, etc. We had a huge hill and lots of towns kids would go meet up there and go sledding. I remember being in 3rd and 4th grade, my teacher Mr. Vipperman would call my house to ask if we were gonna have snow. I've tortured myself with this since 9 years old lol. I'm 41 on the 10th. My son will be 10 the 8th and my daughter just turned 9, the most snow they've seen was Christmas Eve 2020 we got 7" so they were 5 and 6 at the time.
  9. It's hammering down here right now. I bet we've picked up 1.5" in 30 minutes.
  10. Well most models have been fine for Franklin County. I'm directly on the line on all of em lol. 18z gem was good for i70 south.
  11. 18z nam. 25 mile north nudge is all i need. You guys seem to be golden, licking, Franklin counties.
  12. Hoping for a correction north on 18z, but I doubt it. I think even Kentucky gets more yearly snow than us now lol.
  13. If i see nothing to give any optimism in the 12z runs, I'm calling it now, no one in central Ohio will see more than 3". Once a trend starts it continues until it beats us into oblivion lol. I'm seriously about done with this hobby after all these years.
  14. I'm no longer optimistic for Central Ohio. I'm gonna say we see further south shifts until 1-2" line splits CMH. Won't be shocked if come Sunday you'll need to live in the bottom 1/4 of the state to see more than a couple inches. Somehow, someway, us in central Ohio always get the screw job. Fully expect nothing less here. Go from a trend north last night, to "ope, fooled ya."
  15. Little surprised this morning, got about 2" on the ground and it's still snowing. Fully expected a dusting lol.
  16. Yep, I spoke too soon. Hopefully we correct back today. Euro hasn't been good past couple winters, so wouldn't be shocked to see it get this one right
  17. Monster potential for Central Ohio. GFS has come significantly north. Hopefully it doesn't go any further north or we'll be sweating WTOD. It's in perfect position currently for those of us who are snow starved
  18. I'm actually expecting a couple big storms this year. I know the winter is supposed to be warmer, but feel like we're due to get a good setup a couple times.
  19. Love him or not, a Columbus legend is calling it a career. So long, Jym! Maybe he'll join us here on the hobby side! https://abc6onyourside.com/news/local/weather-ohio-abc6-fox28-jym-ganahl-columbus-signing-after-nearly-60-years?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2-_gOdfCZAOE73BHXcYqqhqKD5zYvBf9UyJyHUPNC8NbKFPHBEzu4hfeU_aem_Ab0SaKTVsrBXU9Yp02PFGDLJEdTsJLodob-LTUCEq37vX6NkXSv9wVJrKVjDJlnN78TqQbWcLoIwSmw6AGWBfJyg
