This panel seems most likely from what I can tell from models at this time, but I'm sure all the models will change over next two days.

Snow in March is great. It doesn't last lolNot to be negative but I think the winter is spent. Sure it can snow in March of course but I think it’s just one of those winters.

Looks like central Long island gets a quick burst of moderate snow around 3 to 4pmNAM is juiced but warm
Then a lull before rain pushes in around 7pm
I'm thinking 1 to 2 slushy inches

As much as I am not a snow lover... Ive seen this many times over the years. Winter isn't over here until the end of March. At ANY time we can get a major snowfall here in the next 2 months and it's more likely than not.

Looks like a fog setupcrazy gradient there...Jesus-looks like an April Back door front, interesting if the gradient can slip south a bit...maybe some chances for mix precip or snow in an awful pattern

That would explain the heat in Suffolk countynot a fan of the westerly winds and lowering dewpoints. earlier runs had southerly sfc flow which would have been more favorable

Maybe later. Incredibly cool daytime highs for long island so far this year.Starting to have a feeling we may not experience true summer before mid-June. Hopefully we start warming up and drying out some soon. I just have to keep reminding myself we are almost out of spring, the worst season of the year.

That front is bookingGuys, severe threat seems legit today, especially for those West of the Hudson River. I have started a separate thread.

Which is why the fronts tend to stall over us :/
Depends on where you are on the east coast. Above is not far away, but neither is below.

Just out of 46 years experience on central long island, the pattern usually flips within first ten days of June to steady warmth. Heat usually starts July due to cold ocean.
