MDT has a decent shot at breaking a few highest minimum temps this week. Per CTP, here are the records and each day is in danger of being broken. HARRISBURG DATE HIGHEST MIN T YEAR July 9 76 1994 July 10 77 1993 July 11 76 1989 July 12 75 1911, 2011 The duration of warm is also approaching records for MTD. It hasn't dropped below 70 since July 3, and won't until maybe at best late this week. Fam along the coast are safe. Lots of tree damage but houses made out ok (well minus no power of course). Now fam in the northern ET area is about to get the goods. Tons of tornado warnings on that N/NE quadrant still.

Power outage numbers now surpass the height of Ike outages. Speaking of Ike, I have two different people who have texted this experience is scarier than Ike for them. Maybe because Ike was fully nocturnal and they're getting the brunt in daylight hours, but still.

2 million without power might as well be in death in July in Houston.

Lots of damage reports will come out of Houston. It's the worst case track for them, but thankfully only a cat 1. If it were worse ... we'd have a major, major catastrophe on our hands I think.

Fam is taking on the chin. Fence gone, trees down around their land, lost power sometime between 2-3 am local time. Haven't heard from them since a 6:40 am text.

Storm orientation is worst case disaster scenario setup for Houston. They are extremely lucky this isn’t a Cat 4+ monster.

Time seems to be out for RI for anything beyond a mid level Cat 1. Some nasty weather gonna hit Houston still. Fam is ready but nervous.

Same. I have missed at least 5” rain that MDT had had. At least!

Most of the county is 2” behind in June alone. Water shortages up county.

Heat advisories again for Monday and Tuesday. Pray we get rain Wednesday. I haven’t see the river this low I don’t think ever. Looks like barely 3’ of water in the channels.

Sone family live 3 miles inland about 20 miles SW of Galveston. They’re all ready. Don’t expect winds to be much of an issue or anything compared to the dericho they had a few weeks ago but have sandbags for any flood issue.

Welcome to the team. Warmth is fine but the humidity makes it awful. And the high lows. We really are the southern Virginia now. Or maybe Western South Carolina.

Mandatory evacuations issued for all tourists in and around Corpus Christi . I forgot the infamous blue shed is in Rockport. Someone should station themselves there.
