Yeah, Its been cold, Ice thicknesses are at historical all time earliest coverage here, Some that i know have been ice fishing since Black Friday where earliest they have been able to get on lakes and ponds have been 12/16, Seeing 8"+ in many instances.

That happens a lot after a very cold stretch, It can get quite treacherous.

Yeah, They have to run a lot of K-1 or additives so they won't Gel up there, My extensions cord this am at -2 were pretty stiff as well to my Duramax.

Folks up that way have to have block heaters in there vehicles or they go out every couple hours or so and let them run for 5-10 mins, We were at the bar at the Caribou Inn one nght while up riding for a weekend, I kept seeing people going in and outside, I figured they were going out to smoke a butt so i asked one girl and she told me we have to go out and start our vehicles every couple hours when it gets this cold, I said, OK, And i asked the bartender for another drink and carried on.................

I rode in Fort Kent when it was -38°F, Its cold.

I'm guessing they already have them on in Dresden and Bowdinham on The Eastern and Cathance river.

When i'm up there riding, Tough to tell the difference from -20 or -30, Its cold.................

I saw -21°F there and Big Black River@ 6:00 am

Ouch, Hope you’re ok, I’m still dealing with taking a spill in my warehouse last week with a hand truck loaded with boxes, Tripped while walking backwards and landed on my right hip, That left a mark and been a bit more sore then usual back wise so I tend to be a little more hesitant to my actions when it come to just normal stuff like you related too .
