Mesos ripping 50 + gusts river east and north
Also considered a Wind Advisory for the Cape and islands, as well as Cape Ann. Just did not have the confidence to issue one at this time. Thinking it is more likely wind gusts stay just under the threshold for one. The next shift will need to monitor this potential as well.

I think SE CT through RI and far SE MA stand a chance for some 45-55 mph gusts and then coastal Maine. The rain (totals) signal definitely increased the past 12-hours...but looking back I think the signals were slowly pointing to this happening
Let's rock it. I could use the help.

The rain will definitely cause some leaf shedding but there should still be decent foliage this weekend and next week in most of SNE.
It won't have the same look. The standalone beauties will be shredded.

the only downside I experiened with using it is it's very splintery when tossing the logs into the stove.
Absolutely, sharp splinters. I always wear gloves when handling.

Mint. It is a naturally dry wood, which is nice. I pay more attention to burn temp and frequent cleaning, but maybe I'm doing it wrong.
Creosote BuildupFortunately, black locust firewood has low quantities of sap and resin; therefore, it is a low creator of creosote. Compared to other typical firewood types, black locust has no more resin or sap. Black Locust does produce a small amount of sap naturally.

Isn’t that too wet? Should be like 15%?
You rarely find wood at 15%. Locust wood won't even sizzle at 24.

Oh..ok. Well the week before or after works too. Anybody ever think of Springfield as a possibility?
Springfield's not a bad idea. I think ideally someplace a mile or so off the pike. Sturbridge? Makes it easy for people coming from 91 or 84. I mean Worcester is fine with me I'm close, but thinking of others.
