what do you guys think happened in those two years
why isn't the media talking about this
Riding a NJ Transit train out of Penn a few years ago we pulled up to the Secaucus Junction station. The conductor got on the PA and announced, "Now arriving Secaucus, this is Secaucus junction. It's in the middle of nowhere, but it'll take you anywhere." Always felt like that was some sort of real life materialization of an unwritten Bruce song.

NYC metro and NW really cash in but all 4 models are quite different for other areas
The axis of heaviest snowfall has the immediate NYC metro in the cross hairs. At 4 days out that's pretty impressive model consensus.

Looks like the storm occluded further south. Southern NE snow totals cut down as a result. Hopefully that high isn't too strong.

There's only 3 or 4 bad members in there. A good sign.

This reminds me of January 23rd 2016 blizzard. The potential really is there for widespread 1-2 feet of snow!

Yes it nudges the trough east. Without it, strong chance it tries to cut.
How much can it realistically cut with that blocking?

Looks like the GFS agrees with this, the Euro took my snow and gave it to BGM...gonna be a long week...as we all know we are a long way out with lots of swings anticipated
Euro came out...

Euro is warm for coastal sections. Fair amount of sleet. Absolutely bombs out hr 144-150 drops 13 mbs. Interior does well.

Less amplified which means not a strong storm for our area.
Something something, 6 days out. Something something, ensembles.

You're right. Considering it's been a shitty year I'll hang on to hope for anything decent even if it's far out.
Going by 2020 logic and considering most people hate snow it would make sense for it to snow a ton. For the meme at least.
