NASA U2 plane

I’ve been hearing this NASA P3 Orion flying back and forth over South Portland. I would assume they are collecting data from the storm. There has been a NASA U2 in close proximity also. Just curious as to what they are doing

35 here just east of downtown Portland in South Portland, temps on the west side of Portland near the Maine Turnpike are in the mid 20's. Pretty clear where the coastal front has set up for now!
