Welcome back! I’m feeling more confident today that we’re gonna reel this one in- this thread is the Wallstreetbets of AmWx
Haha seems like things have been trending better and better!

My parents moved from LaPlata to Frankford, DE about a year ago and always fascinated by the different climate over near the beach. Will be interested to see if they get any snow at all with the upcoming storm in Southern DE.

This thread’s kinda languished over the years, sending out signals to some of the old crew:@SOMDweather @Wxdavis5784 @snowdude
Hey I'm still here lurking. Hopefully we are good for at least a few inches on the western shore!

Nope not yet. And just confirmed with friends down in Ridge that they haven't seen anything yet either...

Moderate snow at least in Hollywood. As soon as it went from sleet to snow, snow started sticking immediately, even on roads.

Hope everyone is enjoying this! I believe we are around 4-5" in Hollywood. Impossible to measure as others have noted. Base is opening at 11 but no way roads will be any better by then. Looking at the traffic cameras, 235 looks pretty sketchy.

Really pulling for you guys over on the Eastern Shore. As we all know these are rare events where this sub-forum cashes in. The main thread is so painful to read with all of the whining, complaining, and wishcasting lol.

Congrats to you guys over on the other side!
@SOMDweather did St Mary’s get any accumulation at all at any point?
I'd estimate around an inch or 2 on non-paved surfaces after onset yesterday. Appeared to have some melting over night. Steady light snow now.

Started here as well in Hollywood. Flurries.

Good luck to everyone on the Eastern Shore. Hoping it is not as bad as expected.

We gonna rock this afternoon?

I noticed now for my point-and-click it brings up "St Mary's County Airport (K2W6)" as my closest site for obs instead of Patuxent (KNHK). I've never heard of this site before but I looked it up - somewhere between Hollywood and California? Did they always take obs at this site or is this something new?
I'm wondering the same thing. The airport is only a few miles away from me so it's cool to have an ob station so close. Thinking it's new...

I had 4.2" like two hours ago. I'm sure I have way more now. LWX upgraded us all to a WSW.
WSW says 3-6" and we've blown past that down here.
-
What's everyones guess on totals down here before the changeover? Already 7+ in St Mary's and many more hrs to go. Only updated forecast amount I've seen so far if Channel 4 at 6-10".
-
What does everyone have so far?? Reports of at least 6" in many parts of St Mary's.
-
Woke up to a covering on all non-paved surfaces.
-
Heavy snow wording in the point and click for Tuesday night for St. Mary's. Looking forward to some SnowTV.

Wow looks like we are close to something decent! Hope you guys in the Eastern Shore cash in at the least!

With the AO being pretty positive during this week, the cold air will be tough to get unlike this last storm, however, there looks to be just enough cold air where there may be some accumulating snow if this system trends west, which there is a chance of.
Right now I'd say about a 20-30% for the DC area, 40-50% chance along eastern shore. Stay tuned for sure...
Thank you for your thoughts sir! Always much appreciated!

What are your thoughts on the system on Thursday? NWS has us in St. Mary's in the 30-40% range. Looks like we are on the northern edge..

Started here at about 12:30. Game on!

Hope you guys over on the shore enjoy this one! My parents are about 5 miles inland from Bethany so I'm slightly jealous. Will be one to remember!
