GRLevel3 specifics

Recommended Posts

I have owned GRLevel3 for a long time now, almost as long as it has existed. Since they updated the system with the NMD mesocyclone stuff, I have been impressed, but confused.

Here are my guesses as to the meaning of the specific information in the MESO and TVS indicators

MESO information

CircID (Circulation ID)

SR (??)

LLRV (low level rotational velocity)

LLDV (low level delta V)

Base (base of mesocyclone)

depth (depth of mesocyclone)

STMREL (??)

MAXRV (max rotational velocity)

hgt (height, of what??)

MSI (mesocyclone strength index)

TVS information

AVGDV (average delta-V)

LLDV (low level delta V)

MAXDV (max delta V)

hgt (height, of what??)

depth (depth of mesocyclone/TVS)

base (base of mesocyclone/TVS)

Top (top of mesocyclone/TVS)

MXSHR (maximum shear in inverse kiloseconds, that is, number of times around the circle in 1000 seconds)

hgt (height, of what??)

Any input? I may be able to use GRLevel3 better if I knew what these things mean.
