Matthew88 Posted April 4, 2012 Share Posted April 4, 2012 I recently purchased a Acu-Rite Weather Radio that is an All Hazards NOAA Weather Radio. The picture below is the model I have. It has lights for Advisories, Watches and Warnings. The problem is that I cannot get the radio to register the watches, and the radio does not respond when there is an alert issued. I have two weather stations I can pick up in this area, which are WXK-47 (Morristown, TN) and WZ-2500 (Wytheville, VA). The radio does not respond when an alert is issued on either station. I have entered my FIPS code, which is 051173 for Smyth County, VA and I entered a second FIPS code for Washington County, VA, which is 051191. Neither one of the code seem to register or something is wrong with the radio. I've tried to describe the issue I am having with the most details...Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong?
