Disheartening at the start of the storm but what a wraparound on that thing. I know it's tough to count on the wraparound in this area but if it gets that strong we will get something on the back side. Nothing's nailed down though so we are still in the game here. VAB1 Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Whereas usually in this area we would want a weaker system that stays further south, I think with this set-up we may need something like what the 0z Euro (and now the 12z Canadian) are showing to pull enough cold air into this thing. So the timing of the changeover could be the difference between a coating and and maybe 2-4in. If it snows hard enough and soon enough of a change over then we could get a little fun. We had that 15 incher in 1989 after a long 6 week period of above normal temps.
