well this drought guy has had his ass handed to him this week on a silver shovel in the Macungie area .  On Tuesday, I had nearly 11 inches of snow.  Well this morning, add and other 15 inches  and I have  had over two feet in 5 days.  No model in the world saw this coming. That deathband gave me 4 in+ hour rates for 1.5 hours. We now have had more snow this year than any area in PA right now- Alburtis Macungie area is now the snow king of PA this year.- just unbelievable  I shall declare the drought dead and for some people who hate snow, they would say the groundhog was dead to. LOL  

Uh, looking outside thru tired eyes and seeing a major snowstorm here just southwest of allentown. Perhaps 10”-12”?!

32.2 F / 21 dew and cloudy near Allentown. It will be powder here. It will be interesting to see how intact the precip shield is as it crosses the mountains. I am cautiously optimistic for 3-4”

Was just talking about this with someone. They noticed the past few years the sun's rays have felt hotter. I noted that I also sensed that. Wonder if there is something to this?

Epic Bust here in CNJ happy for the NW crew though. We got less than 2" and it has all been completely melted by mid-afternoon here in Bordentown, NJ. Kind of amazing how every model this morning had 4-8" for the area. Probably got around 1.5" if that....

Moderate snow up here near Allentown - 31.2 on my weather station with calm winds. Eyeballing at least 4” on the deck, possibly more. Leaving for work soon so I will find
out soon!

Steady but light snow up here in Lehigh County - 23.1 F. Just slightly more than a coating thus far. I am thinking we stay at the low end of the nws forecast range.

SW Lehigh County - 30.1 F, light to moderate snow, 1 1/4” thus far. You people to the south are scaring me with the changeover.

.60" gets me over 3" this week
 

2.20 for the period from Thursday afternoon thru the early morning hours, nearly 1 3/4” from that last line that went from Reading to Easton. We actually had hail at midnight as that cell was wild.

1.52” for the day with 1.03” from the current line and still coming down hard- SW of Allentown.

Getting treated to a fantastic light show just west of Allentown. Haven’t seen nighttime lightning this good in a long time.

The track of the storm that traveled over me from topton in berks county over to macungie, emmaus, and south allentown dropped a quick 3/4” of rain. It then quickly fizzled out if existence!

Round 1 - 0.30 + Round 2 - 0.69. I need a little shower with the cold front tonight to get to 1.00 here in sw Lehigh County!

A pretty decent isolated t-storm hit Allentown. It was fun for 10 minutes! It will be interesting to see how long it maintains intensity as it moves south.

Winding down now at 2.27” for the day with a tenth of an inch or less left based on radar. I am wondering if this was enough to remove the moderate drought criteria here over lehigh county. Much of Berks likely improved enough to erase drought or dryness criteria!

The action that persists over Berks County is absolutely unprecedented. I am wondering if some locales touch 12”.

1.80” for the day so far here in sw Lehigh County, still raining but not quite as heavily and no more thunder. Thankfully we should not see the extreme monsoon amounts seen only 10-15 miles west of here! 7”+ is too extreme for me as I have a creek between my neighborhood and the rest of civilization.
