Power Flickering in a jaffrey , went out for a moment , then back (maybe genny)
nice inn here , grabbing 5 eggs, some fruit and coffee , and will try to make it out of here at checkout . A few cars stuck on road
Where the pics at?

God damn POS plow truck stuck in the driveway, went sideways. Tough with the wetness it just piles up in front, plus I should have pushed the existing banks back last night instead of having beers in the garage watching radar...... Lesson learned I guess.
Folks 2 miles west said power flickering.

Nuked! Are you near WaWa? Might be better east side of town.
I'm north of Wawa, but south of RT 2. I'm pretty close to downtown.

How high are you? Looks like 1-2” already.
I'm at 1,085. Yeah over a couple inches, more on grass and the existing pack.

Hopefully our trash can be picked up tomorrow. In our town we have to hire private companies. We get recycling done every 2 weeks. Trash every week. Two weeks ago they called to postpone trash pickup due to a snowstorm by one week (picked up last week) but recycling was pushed out two weeks
Right now we have 4 weeks of recycling crammed into our big tote (85 gal). If they miss it tomorrow I don’t know where we will put additional recycling stuff.
I think they will cancel
No town transfer station that's free? Shame on the Hubb!

Left work in Fitchburg at 4pm. 41 and raining. Got to Gardner 35 and spitting wet white bombs. Currently 34 and mod snow sticking to grassy surfaces.
Nice. Good snow here, sticking to my driveway, about 1/2" I'd say in some spots.
Radar looks tight. Stealing others snow, just what I wanted.

Whatever model shows the least amount is probably what we should go with. Notice how Tippy is awfully quiet.

For those looking to chase, Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg/Princeton is fun for the family. Prime spot for this. Plus they have a resturant/bar etc. Kinda $$$ though
They have backup power as well
I think their elevation is a little lower though, there's still that one big hill on RT 2 to go up. You know, the one that ends at the drug rehab place?
There's a Rodeway Inn in Westminster.... But I wouldn't stay there. Colonial Inn probably best bet, or an Air BNB in downtown.

Biggest question I have is how far east along that corridor does it stay substantial... Leominster? Harvard?
Yeah I'm not far from right where RT 2 hits 1000', so I'm typically right on edge of the good stuff. My folks are a couple miles west with another 150'+ or so of elevation. Makes a difference. In my experience the change over typically happens at the drug rehab place on RT 2.
12" is not that crazy, but 24"+ is wild, especially if it's glop. That's for the berks though. We good for keeping power.

Well we ever see consensus or will it be nowcast?

The models are signaling a strong elevation event for the interior hills. The lower elevations and coastal plain will depend on exact evolution and precip rates.
Take 6-7:1 ratio in the lower elevation snow column, and 8-10:1 ratio in the higher elevation. Adjust map as needed.
I mean it literally happens every spring. When work was in FIT it would be a couple inches of glop, and then at my house 6 miles away it would be 8". It happens once every spring season. I think there's just so much more moisture involved this time, so it's more pronounced. Hubb knows.

We already had a decent pruning in January. Hopefully the weak stuff is already down.
That was the worst I've seen in 11 years here. The ice and then heavy snow on top.
6-10" of glop will be nothing compared to that.

Turning into a typical spring storm, moisture laden with the El's getting the goods and AEMATT getting mostly rain with some meow paws to finish
