  1. Just saw it. Like I said, NAM might not get there, but it's clearly heading the right way. Feeling a lot better
  2. I'm def shocked. At 51, precip field is definitely smooshed more toward the East vs 18z. Smooshed is a meteorological term btw.
  3. Yup. Prob won't get it done this run, but it's a good sign that it's moving toward the other models slowly, but surely
  4. Definitely flatter out in front, stronger push from confluence up top.
  5. NAM a little flatter in front vs 18z, but nothing like Euro
  6. Noted. We've moved on. If folks wanna still talk voodoo and thread decision, head on over to banter.
  7. Anyway, back to weather. I'll start it when I feel like it.
  8. It's dumb. Always has been and it used to irritate me with the "see, you started a thread, that's why the storm isn't happening". Yes, because parcels of air and temperatures are sentient and check this board before deciding what to do. I'm zen about it now. I may just start it anyway. Not sure why I'm bending to this superstition shit. I'm going to at least let the GFS come in first.
  9. Im starting one tomorrow at 12z, weird superstitions be damned.
  10. Yes, ah give me a six pack of that IPA and some M and M's and 2 donuts. Yall accept debit cards? No bag. What aisle is the milk on?
  11. Colder still at 75-78. Turned to rain in DC at 12z...still frozen on this run
  12. Yup. It'll give us some cushion when it starts moving back north
  13. Well, I can say this much...GFS definitely not taking any steps whatsoever toward the NAM. If anything it moved a little more S and a bit colder
  14. Trying to figure how that was any step to the NAM, especially in low track. I mean, was a little warmer at onset vs 12z but it didn't look anything like the NAM. That being said, RGEM can eat it.
  15. RGEM a bit warmer on the front end but basically remains the same in terms of trajectory. Nothing like the NAM. Hell of a sleet bomb after the changeover. Looks longer duration and wetter too. It can still eat it though.
  16. Agreed. 600 models vs 1 is definitely cause for consternation and a complete breakdown.
