I know this is not the New England section, but if anybody wants to see a very long technical discussion about the storm's potential impacts for up that way (especially eastern MA and RI), check out the afternoon AFD from BOX.  My sister lives up in the Boston burbs and it looks like they will really get whacked there.  Some pretty impressive totals being painted, plus serious wind/power outage potential - all this without much if any blocking!

I'm originally from NE Rhode Island, my folks still live there. Gotta admit it hurts that they might get 30 inches while I get 3...but I'm moving to Canada later this year, so I'll get over it I suppose. If I didn't have obligations here I'd consider paying them a visit and "chasing" this one up there. Alas, I'll have to enjoy my white rain.

whoa! That's VERY different from Parkville. Good luck up there and enjoy! Jealous.

Funny, I'll be in Moncton, NB ;) Spending a year in British Columbia starting this summer before building a house in NB. I'll be sure to pop in now and again and share some wicked Canadian weather!

While we wait and because everyone is here, we’ve stopped watching but what about the biblical storm that’s gonna hit the maritimes? Damn the wind with that is gonna be unreal. Look at those isobars lol

I've been paying close attention, since I'll be relocating to eastern New Brunswick. They just had a pretty impressive storm with 80km winds and over a foot of snow in 12 hours.

Imagine living in the Canadian Maritimes watching that beast off shore sizing you up. The blizzard that thing is gonna create is gonna be legendary if it comes to fruition.

I'll be living in north eastern New Brunswick (close to PEI and Nova Scotia) starting in late 2023. I am looking forward to the storms up there.

Hey what did my other Balt. City peeps measure last night? I went to bed around 3:30 or so so I didn't get a  measurement before any compaction. Measured 4.0" even on the steps but 3 on the landing. What did you guys measure?

It was an awesome few hours! Snow-globe fatties :D

4.5 here in Northeast Baltimore. Went to bed around midnight and it hadn’t started yet. Woke up at 5 and it was already over. Came in hot and heavy!

  6. 39.6 / 19.5 in Parkville/NE Baltimore. Expectations are low, but my new blue heeler puppy doesn't seem to care how much snow falls, as long as it's there.

Hoping this is the start of a good few weeks weather-wise. This will be my last winter in the Mid-Atlantic, as I'm immigrating to Canada later this year. I don't think I'll have many issues seeking out snow in the great white north next winter!

Four inches Sunday - ended at 5:00. Nothing yesterday other than flurries and freezing drizzle and five minutes of snow at 4:25 pm.

Picked up an inch in the pre-dawn hours this AM. At 6:30 am, it turned back off. It hasn't turned back on. Just hilarious and frustrating to see two days of obs from Bel Air, and Reiserstown, and down your way, and into DC etc, but to have the bubble of nada over Baltimore that refuses to fill in.

That sucks. I'm only a few miles east of you, but I had snow TV for almost the whole day yesterday after it turned back over to snow, and light snow until about 10am this morning. Not much in the way of accumulation though since Sunday, though we did pick up about an inch overnight.
