If surface temps can reach 30 degrees I would agree that the freezing rain is less of an issue, although I am not sure that's going to happen in most places.
I would highly doubt it north of 78 and west of the GSP

I think its essentially over for a 90%+ snowstorm or a mostly rainstorm, everything points to some snow (3-6"/4-8") with a lot of ice/sleet.

Ukie looks to be (once outside of LI and immediate coast), 3-6" snow, significant ice/sleet, maybe a little cold rain, then back to a little snow on the backside with a flash freeze.

NAM looks excellent

For the Jan 3/4 threat

What did the euro show?

I hear the EURO is intriguing....from what New England and M/A looks like a 2-4” type deal
-
Radar quite impressive, someone will have a nice surprise tomorrow morning

NAM .1 to .2 QPF
-
All models have around 0.1” of QPF Christmas Eve, with 850s cold enough for snow...

Looks increasingly like a light snowfall (C-2") for X-mas eve, would be nice.

38F and very light rain

Gfs West/warm, other models similar?

Anything for the Dec 5th threat...
-
18z GFS interesting for 2 possible snowstorms, Dec 5th and next Saturday...
-
Wow, nice cold/stormy pattern from Dec 3rd on...impressive look, regardless of details

4th storms looks verbatim too west/late coastal, but overall pattern for the storm is very interesting with established cold air, 50/50 low, and streaming southern moisture. Still enough time for this to go either way and at least some frozen.

New month starts this Saturday, might start this thread now.
Looks to be a stormy and relatively mild first 5 days of the month, however it seems it would not take too much of a change to have one storm squash ridge enough, for the follow-up to be some amount of frozen. We shall see.

93/94, 02/03, 10/11, 13/14, 14/15 all pretty close to (if not) wall to wall good winter weather

11.5F low for the morning...

Quite windy here after a few flurries...
January 19-20th Winter Storm Threat

This has the making to be one of the most important/impressive CAD situations in a long time. Even as upper levels may warm, the surface is pounding colder on due north winds into the low 20s/upper 10s.
