What is the total QPF (regardless of precip type) on the EURO for NYC?

18z GFS, wow! Someone in NJ going to be pleasantly surprised Tom night/Wed

GFS well westand a nice little event, NAM west as well

Does the Euro show anything for Tue/Wed?

Looks like a decent light snow event for most in region this week

New GFS starting on Dec 31, 2-3 snow chances and generally near normal for 1st week and well below after the 6th

What is it with the Kuchera ratio map showing? Essentially the NAM is saying little/no plain rain west of NYC and north of Middlesex/Somerset counties...

Where would you say the EURO puts the southern edge of the 2" plus snow line roughly?

From 78/80 north, I think this a 1-3" event with sleet/ice afterwards, north of 84 3-5" with mix. 

Nam snow map anyone?

New NAM has 2-3" region wide with axis of 'heaviest' 95 or a touch west of that

Looks like a nice 2-4" event on the NAM pretty much region wide (driest model) on the new 12z

NAM much more juiced than prior 3-4 runs...figured this would happen

Seems reasonable 

Certainly less QPF than prior runs on the NAM, but much colder at surface and aloft and no taint. Could even be decent ratios 10-12:`1 with the 850s if surface is 32F or below. per NAM yes, 1-3 looks right, but would not be surprised for 2-4/3-5 when we get actually get there. 

Seems like a pretty cold 2-4" or so for most of the region, some of the snow falls with 850s near -6/-9F
