  1. Sounds like the video above was taking at this location. (Person who shot video has yet to reconnect with people down there). These people probably had to deal with conditions like this for hours on end when he stalled. Can’t imagine... surge to 10-11’ in this video
  2. Just to add to this^^. like we’ve all said, normal for Josh to be on the down low after these storms given infrastructure damages. Point is, no one has heard from him yet*.
  3. Those WSW drifts overnight make a difference... last 4 GFS runs
  4. Might be seeing some northward motion the last few frames in IR. But man. Freeport bahama has been getting smoked in the eyewall for hours.

  6. Gfs going to miss Florida this run. Ridge weaker, trough digs more this run @60 hours. Let’s see how close it gets.
  7. Can we please take the news /media /article objective stuff to banter? Thanks .
  8. Would be surprised to see it being an ERC. Recon going in now, and first glance, don’t see any double wind maximas in the western half. Just think he’s tightening himself up and intensifying. Let’s see what recon finds though.
  9. Thanks for the answer. Should find a pretty good jump in intensity given current look. Could be eye tricks, but eye looks like it’s really tightening up last few frames on IR. Thing is really organizing itself quite nicely today. Recon just on the edges here. Let’s see what they find.
  10. Is the NOAA mission flying through the hurricane , or over the top?
  11. Maybe someone else can confirm, but looks like the south quad is expanding it cirrus outflow the last few frames on IR??
  12. The one negative I am seeing now is the restricted outflow on the south/Souther western quad. Can still see some southerly flow around 70-66°/20° N impeding the outflow. Can’t cross off all the check boxes yet for a classic look It’s not dry air, just being restricted for now.
  13. Not seeing much dry air... can we stop this nonsense? Closest is on the other side of Hispaniola.
  14. Wonder if the convective burst in the eastern banding will allow some dry air intrusion to wrap in. (Subsidence).
