The dry pattern has been quite impressive. With the exception of a couple of minor precipitation events the pattern has been very quiet overall since very late August and that looks like it will probably continue for at least the next 10-14 days. This time of year things can change in a hurry though so I guess we’ll see what happens.

06z intensity guidance. Definitely a trend towards a tamer storm. We'll see if it holds.

A bit tamer on the 00z intensity guidance.  We'll see what the next update shows.

Hoping the EPS, GEFS and CMCE have at least some clue with bringing the NYC metro region some rainfall over the next 7 days.

The op models/ensembles have definitely come in wetter over the next 7-10 days. We'll see how it shakes out.
