  1. Great! Is that your first sticking snow of the season?

I would say yes, it is our fourth snowfall, but it is the most important with 6 cm on the ground (very wet).

We have now 0.4C, it is still snowing a bit.

If the snow stays on the ground tomorrow (with some frost during the night), we may be close to the -10C on thursday morning.

  2. Hello everybody,

-0.8C this morning with overcast conditions.

Temperatures ranging from -9 to +2 in the territory. Some snow in south Yukon.

This weekend was pretty cool with flurries, some snow on the ground on sunday morning.

This week should be colder, with some snow for today and tomorrow, then a mix of sun and clouds.

Perhaps our first -10, and high lower tha 0C.

    Wait & See :pimp:!

  3. Hello everybody,

Low of -1.2C this morning, expected high of 8C.

Temperatures ranging from -12 to +2 across the territory, mostly between -4 and 0C

EC updated its forecast and joined GFS. The conditions should be ok from now to Friday with mild temperatures before a change for the weekend and some precipitations on Saturday with cooler temperatures.

    Have a good day !

  4. Good evening everybody flowers.gif!

-2.4/8.4 today, now -0.2c with a risk of snow for tomorrow !

Here are some pictures I took on the Alaska Highway between Whitehorse and the lake of Kluane. Sunny conditions, only 2C at 1000m high.

You can see St-Elias Mountains, I love the colors at this season with blond grass, first snow on the peaks, glaciers, ...

  5. Glad you enjoyed the pic and that my college in Anchorage was able to capture such a beautiful pic.

There were some northern lights the past night here; I unfortunately was not able to take a correct shot !

Yesterday -3.0/10.4, today 2.2/8.2. It is milder here in south Yukon with the south-east wind.

Tomorrow, some snowflakes or raindrops before a sunny and cooler weekend.

    Have a great evening :pimp:!

I have also added a link to statistics for the Environment Canada official weather station for Whitehorse: Meteowhitehorse, click on Arctic Climate Data on the left menu and then Whitehorse Data.

    That's it for now,

    Ciao :pimp:

  7. Aside from MTBLANC will also do the same with regard to your request....we start to get trace snowfall amounts in about 2 weeks. Usually at night though or mixed during the day throughout the winter as even in January our avg. temp. is 38 for a daily max.

    I will post for sure.

It will not be right now because it is too mild, but by the end of the week we could get the first ones.

For now, 9.3C still windy but dry !

  8. Hello everybody,

Low of 7.4C with wind blowing from east and overcast conditions.

Temperatures from 1 to 11C in the territory this morning.

This week will be a transition. We will start with wind and mild temperatures and end with cooler temperatures with perhaps our first snowflakes.

Next week should be very interesting uphere !

    Have a great one !

Yes, it will be a funny winter for freezing cold passionates :P!

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I notice that we are in advance for fall colours. Just have a look to my "last week" post !

I however really like the alpine ambiance.

  12. Good morning everybody,

Sorry for the GFS map, I forgot to save it, and it does not show anymore what I wanted !

We have -1.8C this morning here, the wind stopped blowing and it is clear outside.

In the territory, temperatures between -3 and +11 with mild temperatures in central Yukon.

We should have sunny days with highs of 11/13C in upcoming days.

Now, I will go for a run with the dogs.

    Have a great day !

  13. Good evening!

Today was a transition day with mild temperatures (8.3/14.6) and a mosty cloudy sky.

Tomorrow should be better with the return od sunny conditions and cooler temperatures.

I may expect some cold visiting us by the end of the month, GFS model forecasts it since a bit.
