About the size of 2 basketballs. Presumably a bald faced hornets nest
I love finding those giant nests after leaves are down that you never realized were there.- 2

This thread is 1) argue about foliage, 2) argue with Winter Wolf about warmth/cold…rinse and repeat ad nauseum. I shouldn’t complain since I don’t contribute, but jeez.

About 5” in Easthampton
-
Temperature slowly rising here and over to mainly light rain
-
Nice big fat flakes here but it’s 34 and not really accumulating.
-
Looks to be Amherst, god loves a lesbian? Will i be cancelled for that?
Canceled from what? -
-
33.4 and it just changed to snow in Easthampton…at about 200”
-
Wish we were there. 2 days of blizzard conditions
36" in Deadwood, S.D.
30" in Cheyenne Crossing, S.D.
29" in Finland, MN
26" in Hulett, WY
How do they even measure snow in a plains blizzard? -
About 5 years ago I had friends, who are snow lovers, that had affordable options on two different houses. One up in Heath at 1200’ and one in Shelburne at 800’.
They were into Winter sports and they knew that I was really into weather so we talked a bit about ideal locations.
They ended up buying the house in Shelburne figuring a few hundred feet could not make that big of a difference. Probably a poor decision.
Heath is approaching the outskirts of civilization (at least for Massachusetts) -
I believe January 1st. My husband works at INSA in Easthampton. They're waiting to see if CT takes a bite out of their sales. Supposedly they're already slumping a little
Well we have five dispensaries in town and probably another 5-10 within 10 miles of downtown.- 1

Takes me about 8.5- 9 hrs to get to Madawaska if it’s a dry trip. I’ve never driven to Richmond so I couldn’t comment on that.
I mean, I’m just going by as the crow flies looking at a map -
Just another world up there .
Well southern New England is closer to Richmond, VA than it is to Madawaska.- 1

We've had like 7 mornings below freezing here and several in the 20s just a couple of towns NW of Kevin here in the valley. Definitely a good rad pit here, very flat and away from the cities.
I’ve had eight below freezing and four in the 20s down in the valley in Easthampton.- 1

These flakes are the massively huge with this batch moving in
Yeah…giant flakes coming through here now -
5” and snowing very lightly…easily the most for any storm this year, yet still kind of underwhelming

Pretty clear winners and losers in January…Albany has the least snow of any city on this list

This matches up with my neighborhood pretty well- 2

I noticed that but I think it's the numbers running over each other and makes it look like that but it's not. The numbers are all bunched up. It's a 2. something and a 4.6 over each other.
But they’re red dots -

I’m still under 15” for the season.
13 here- 1

Up to 2” now…12” for the season. How people here have 12” since breakfast?
