    GEFS really went west. Operational looked great. GEM looks good and Ukmet looks great. So all in all we are looking ok. I like that a HP is showing up with a big blob of VERY cold to our NW. This one was always a long shot but it’s looking better and better. Why do you think the GEFS kicked west (they’ve been East for days)?

    One of the biggest storms I can recall. It’s incredible how consistent the GFS has been. And I keep telling myself we are within the 120 hr frame now. Usually that would be good for some confidence. Not so much this year. But hey, at least the chase is fun. I leave for Lake Placid on Thursday morning. Return Monday. I’m really praying for an epic weekend! Staying at the Whiteface Lodge Thursday night. If this comes to fruition, I’ll be needing powder skiis.
