8 tornadoes now confirmed in PA/NJ:

Anyone remember a day where tornadoes in the region were that numerous? I know during Sandy there were a lot of reports but I forget how many. 

It certainly was a crazy event. I do not recall spending that many hours tracking tornados in PA and NJ. I guess that is a day in the life of someone in the middle of tornado ally?

Been light snow since at least first light. Elevation squeeze. Sun out....blue sky scattered about.....yet the light snow has not stopped. Love the mountains. About an inch thus far

Great to see so many enjoying this storm! The Poconos are riding the edge, 1/2 inch thus far. Rates fluctuate but I do not see much potential for here. Likely 1-3

Made it to the pa cabin. Virga ville. Nothing yet despite radar. 18f no wind. Perfect for a cigar walk minus the flakes falling.

When he gave a shout out to us at college the suite went NUTS. He was a legend for winter forecasting. Provided good info and plenty of laughs.

This was the first coastal I ever experienced living at the shore, monmouth college back then. I will never forget hiking to the beach, wearing old goggles to protect the eyes and the first time I ever saw the ocean rise like that, with insane wave action.

I also will never forget Lloyd Lindsay Young, met for channel 9 out of NYC. He was all over this storm as well the others to follow. He became our go to weatherman noon each day.

Yesterday the Pocono cabin received 5" of pow pow.  Skiers are happy. Landscaper/Snow Clearing Professor is happy (running out of places to put the snow. going to need a loader/skid).

Vermont Skiers who made the trek to Okemo are happy, tired and crashed by 9pm....pow pow all day and will soon awake for another long day on the mountain.

Shore house got nada.....but still looks like a winter wonderland.  

Might see 1-3 tonight freshen things up at the shore

Word from the cabin crew in the poconos is 30+ inches across the mountain. Heading up later today. Working on getting front loader or skid to dig out the house.

Also I see some snow or show snow along 476......

Dam watching the live shot from philly it is the complete opposite of Allaire NJ. Mod here, snow won the current battle hands down. Just gorgeous outside with the first light and sideway snow, leafless trees through the horse farms.....

Still snowing. Moderate at times. It was a beautiful afternoon of steady snow and the Allaire park area was stunning. Roughly 3-4 thus far. Just cleared the driveway in case we mix overnight and avoid crusty muck.

February looks like an interesting month, exhausted just thinking about it.

That last squall that passed through the SoMoCo area just after Noon was intense. Lucky the sun angle put up a good fight and the roads never were an issue, just visibility.
