  1. Yep, guess we better get the generators gassed up.
  2. Hey hey we have a January thunderstorm going on here right now with snow on the ground. Wow, big time Thunder and lighting! Interesting.
  3. Wish I had a supply of wood but I don't. I used to burn wood and till I bought it, cut a split it, and used as much as I did it wasnt worth it. But hard coal was 100 a ton back then. Its 300 a ton now. 29 Degrees here now and I feel like spring has arrived lol.
  4. Yep that will do it. Not a cloud in the sky here. I heat my garage with coal and can tell how cold it was overnight by how many shovels of coal it takes lol. Generally its 1 shovel full in the am. The other night I had to throw 3 in it. Last night it pretty much completely burnt up and I am having to almost start from scratch. It was pretty dang cold last night going by that.
  5. I think it got as cold here last night as it did the night before. NWS shows -9 right now, AW shows -6, and overnight low for Bedford CO airport Airport was -14 again.
  6. Wow that is crazy. At 8:30AM I had -9 on my digital temp gun so I guess that must have been accurate.
  7. Wow 9 years for CPA......I know its been pretty disappointing for a long time IMBY. Nuisance 4-6 inch snows. I seem to be in one of the worst spots for big snowstorms nowadays. I consider big storms over a foot. This 10 inch storm we just got is the best in several years. Big storms go to the North, South, East, and West of me mostly.
  8. Temp gun showed -9 earlier but could be off a couple degrees. When it gets that cold a few degrees doesn't matter. Its freaking cold.
  9. Picked up another 1.5" last night. Been snowing off and on here all morning.
  10. Yep calorie burn felt good enough for me to slam down about a dozen wings after I was done. My body was like wow, we might be net negative calories for the day! Nope! Here comes the wings!
  11. I do, but many times I set around half of the next day waiting on someone to get around to it. I have a business that uses the driveway. Most of the time I just suck it up and do it myself. Like now. It's done.
  12. I am 56 and I am about to the point I can't do it anymore. Well, I can do it, it just kills me for 3 or 4 days afterwards. All busted up tonight. I have a 28 inch Cub cadet 3X and my driveway and lot is huge. Takes 2-3 hrs.
  13. I think we ended up somewhere around 8.5-9 here when it was all said and done. That was enough for me to break 2 shear pins on the snow blower. My storms are ranked by shear pin breakage. 8-10 inches is a 2 pinner....
  14. When it was hammering here the flakes were huge and piled up quick.
  15. I am NW of Cumberland. That is the band that hit me.
  16. Yes it was at least that. I shoveled the walk and when I went back out an hour or so later could tell it was at least 3 inches so I measured it. Couldn't believe it so I re measured lol. Probably 8 now but the heavy band has let up some now. Back to moderate. This is shaping up to be the best snow IMBY for a couple years.
  17. That heavy band I have been under is moving east. Everyone out there hopefully gets some of that!
  18. OK its off the rocker now...I just measured 7 over inches. Puking snow now lol. Our pink pig in the turn has caved....
  19. 4 inches on the car roof so far. Heavy snow now. Love it!
  20. You got the right. I live right in the middle of that zone in Bedford Co. Almost never get the good snows. Always North South East or West of me.
  21. Sure is.....Its the part I can do without!
  22. All except for the hurricane force wind gusts and blowing a drifting snow. Siberia is probably nicer today.
  23. That has started the snow up here again in Bedford Co too. Hoping it adds a few inches because I am only around 3 or so as of right now.
  24. I am 3 miles north of the Turnpike in Bedford Co. So I still hold out hope I can get the snow blower out.
