we did have a few major wind events clear out some of the trees/branches plus I think the maintenance of trimming branches near power lines has improved since the last one but you are correct in that there is a lot of potential damage to be done.

Sleet is fine - almost like snow - but ice is not good - sleet will not destroy trees and cut power - ice will. I am fine with snow/sleet - but if it is freezing rain - then cold rain is much much preferred.

Should be short lived as it changes to rain and starts melting the snow in the trees and power lines Stay safe!
