Would be slightly disappointed to make the journey and not see 12+ BUT I’ll take/enjoy what I get! Still think Brevard is good spot.

Snowing here in Brevard! Gonna head out to grab some food and hunker down to enjoy this one!

Excited to drive back up tomorrow! I’ve missed my mountains and gonna be fun to experience it in a new place! Cabin is about 2500’ near Brevard. Let’s reel it in!

Classic dry slot being modeled for parts of WNC. Still decent totals but someone’s gonna miss out on the big stuff because of it

When's the last time we had such a high-ensemble mean? Dec 2018? Really enjoy following along with you guys! Been far too long.

Wish I was back home for this one you guys! Looks like Old Fort/McDowell is in a prime spot. Gonna be up there with 2018 (16") and 2009 (13") for my old stomping grounds!

Yeah we know it almost always overperforms but we shall see.
Too much of an amped trend for me and the triangle area. Been hurt too many times but a warm nose and hours of rain.

This is now a mountains and VA event. Even we do see some wet flakes it won't stick with soil temps in the 60's.
Yep. I’m just gonna take the token flakes and hope we have rates that put on a show for a few hours tomorrow morning.

Debating whether I want to stay in Chapel Hill just to see snow in my own backyard for once (even if it’s light) or head up to Boone for a few days.

We ended up with 7.03 over the past 5 days....
Just over 10" on the month for us south of Old Fort. Thursday was wild with nearly 5" in just a couple of hours. Flooding was honestly worse (albeit short-lived) than Ivan in this part of the county.

My folks back home in McDowell were expecting a pretty significant ice event but once the clouds rolled in and the temps crept up to 33, they never dropped again. Lots of heavy rain and lightning though!

This is our lowest temp of the event.Folks back home in McDowell were down to 30 for about an hour last night. Warmed up to 33 when the clouds moved in and never dropped again.

Wind is blowing in CH and my temp is right at 32 but nothing noticeable to report.

Yep. Been stuck at 43-45 for a couple hours now.

42/30 at my place in Chapel Hill. Don’t know how this works even for a glaze.

Rain/freezing rain now. Temp right at 32.
Almost 2” of slop in the yard

Seems like we had a bit of sleet last night because the sidewalk is covered in it. Looks like a decent snow/sleet mix falling right now.

.50-.75" in most spots. Slacking off but some tiny flakes still flying.
-
Still ripping snow here in Old Fort and already an accident on the mountain it seems. Sticking on the sidewalk and roads in spots.
