this is also when we began seeing the 2018 storm pop up.... it brings excitement but still a long ways to go.

Radar looks juicier than the models show... especially in the foothills... this is definitely going to be a nowcast situation

Hey a storm to bring in the new year followed by cold! 2020 is our year!!!

Jan 2nd.... looks like we are below freezing all day... and moisture is to our south.... start of something good??? 

I think the models are just broke....

All i see snow wise is some wrap around snow for the mtns on the 29th in fantasy land and some cold air.. lots of rain though...

6z was too warm from what i saw.. only mountain snow.

Just a solid 28 hours of snow.. no biggie... 6z is running now.

Pretty solid storm down here in Lenoir.. sitting right below 32 right now with heavy freezing rain.

There were three more in a perfect line before that pic was taken.  It wasn't until they disappeared that I thought to get a pic.   And they reappeared after 20-30 minutes.  Stellarium doesnt show much of anything in that area oriented like those lights at that exact moment.  Just a single satellite.  I'm not claiming to know what they were, but I know I have never seen something in the sky do that before lol!
