This is the meme that pops into my head every time i see HRRR. With any luck, now you all will do it too.

Rest assured everyone, I am here. You may continue to push this system south, I appreciate all the hard work in my absence.

Soooo.. The good news is that Thurs, going into Friday at 2-3am, I have to start driving to Florida to catch a boat for vacation... Using standard Murphy compliance, my needing to drive on 95 means that this snow will definitely happen.
I'll probably be ok though, right? I mean, I am not too worried about plowing through a few inches of snow.

I am pretty amazed at how resilient our roads have been. It has been snowing pretty decently all day, but I feel like we have been stuck at the same snow cover all day.
-
We have been having a pretty nice snowfall since about 12-12:30. It doesn't really jive with what I see on the radar.

Lets enjoy. I've made sure to not salt my sidewalks, to prevent insulting the snowgods.

Just lost power for 30 seconds.

AACo Schools just issued a 2hr delay for tomorrow.

Starting to notice a bit of house creaking noises here and there.

Tides will be high enough (5+ feet) to flood out roadways near the water, especially toward evening. Prudent for them to dismiss early to make sure busses can actually get the kids home. Early closure also terminates after school activities which would be even more impacted by the tide levels. Tides over 3 foot will cover some coastal roads; tides over 4 feet will have widespread impact and make some roads impassible. Tides are supposed to break 5 feet.
Yeah, I guess this whole thing just caught me off guard. I had gone back into weather hibernation since the snow event vaporized.
I didn't even know this was coming until AACS texted.
Going to be an interesting day tomorrow!

I had put this in the wrong thread, so I corrected ->
AACo schools just issued a 2hr early closure for tomorrow. The heckin heck?
And I quote: AACPS: Due to expected heavy rain, strong winds, and deteriorating road conditions

I have been climatically cursed this summer and demand a refund.

Radar says no snow, but we've got almost 0.5" in Reisterstown with SN-.
The radar thing has been confusing me. It must be super light echos.

OBS: Snow is technically falling, its the landing that seems to be most unimpressive. 33F

Just wanted to add that I'm flying back to BWI Friday, which will be sure to make the snow come. So there is that.
