Controversial, but my back is kind of glad we miss out this weekend

It does seem weird what is happening with the plowing situation. I don't remember it ever going down like it has.. Is that just because of the 10 feet of sleet and the resulting depleted uranium coating? Day 1 I could shovel fine.. day 2 I switched to smash and remove mode.. day 3, c4

Those things are explosive. Bet it sounded like a cannon when it went off.
Yeah, it did. Scared the crap out of me. It was about 3/4's closed when it blew, so it exploded and dropped like a boulder. I unlocked it from the trolly, but then I found out for the first time how heavy garage doors really are. I wonder if it was temp related, or I just have bad luck timing wise.

Went outside to shovel at 20F, by the time I was done it hit 25F..
And my damn garage door spring snapped clean in half on the way back in..

lol, holy crap. This is a mode of precipitation I have no experience with. Just had something come through that was like bags of beach sand being dumped from my roof.

Not sure if this was posted yet, but Anne Arundel Schools shut down for Monday. No surprise.

I'm also a FlightAware tracking station, and as far as I can tell there are only 3 airplanes flying over the entire state of maryland and delaware, lol.. Unless this stuff is good at blocking 1090mhz.
Usually there are at least 80 I can see.

Definitely picked up a bit here.. The flakes are so wee that its actually hard to tell. My cars are starting to cave, but the road seems ok at the moment. Probably not for long.

Put down tarps, the ice slides right off.

I can confirm light snow here. 18F

I just got hit with my second $900 energy bill, and that was AFTER I took pretty significant steps to curb it. Two zone gas system, and I just upgraded zone 1 for more efficiency. The gas side of the bill was $465 averaging $14/day. When we first moved in 7 years ago, it was $270 total energy MAX, gas and kwh.
I'm not sure what else to do to get it lower, because nothing actually seems to work.

I wasn't really paying attention, but at some point I received snow dust. -

Escalating quickly over here. Nice. -
I looked out the window, and there are snows. Snows are falling.

I almost killed myself on my own driveway shovel mounds trying to get into my car today. I parked a bit too close to them, so I did the natural thing of thinking I could just step on the mounds like we were living some kind of normal snow event.
Heck no. Solid block of ice. I even stomp tested it in anger. No give.
