Necessities are necessities are necessities. The less people going to stores looking for non-essentials, the less people this’ll spread to. Imagine if just one person with COVID, who only wanted to buy garden supplies and wouldn’t have been at the store otherwise, spread it to you, only for you to spread it to the disabled vet you’re caring for and his elderly parents.
Gardens can be re-planted, dead people can’t be revived.
I totally understand what you say. My problem is we plant now, have every year, in our greenhouse. I was called Saturday to come in and get what they had for me that finally came in m for the Disabled Vet I care for. I saw all the plants and seeds and no sign, no nothing to say I couldn't get it. I wasn't told that I couldn't get it from the manager who was standing right there, but from the cashier. The tomato, strawberry, broccoli, and seeds we needed are all a no. When this is where we get our food from it is a real worry!

Recall petitions are flying left and right in michigan today against govener whitmer after continuing the stay at home order and adding to it that people are no longer allowed to use any boats that are powered by a motor. Also all stores have to close off non essential merchandise areas til the end of April. This includes greenhouse and graden center which has many people upset about not able to get garden plants
They need to recall her! I am a caregiver for a disabled vet and help with his elderly parents. We all grow gardens. Imagine my surprise going in today and found I couldn't buy anything! Yesterday I could buy seeds and various vegetable plants, but no hoses, potting soil, etc. Thank goodness for the cashier who said, "So fire me. Am I supposed to remember all 20,000 items we can't sell?". Why is she shutting down garden centers? This is how we survive out here.

Everyone here is whining about not being forecasted enough snow, and I’m over here like....yassssssss!!! I might get an inch on the grass #dontjudgeme #thesouthruinedme
I won't care if it's an inch or 10". Either way my dogs are going to love it, and I get to watch it falling down and piling up!

I do not know what is this 2-5" nonsense from GRR is. They are going to have to upgrade those amounts tonight lol. But I live in DTX CWA and I know we will get a WWA for the same even though models are showing way more...
DTX here, too, but we are being told a little over 2", and we're in Lapeer county up near Genessee/Tuscola county line.

I would like to see Michigan, too. Thanks in advance.

A solid 2" expected this morning and switched to snow, rain, freezing rain, not particularly in that order. Please no more freezing rain! I have fallen more times these last 3 weeks than ever before!

If you're an optimistic Southeast Michigander, do yourself a favor and avoid looking at the 0z HRRR.
I wanna see anyhow! Lapeer County Michigander with a NWS call of 7", so should I be looking at more or less?

With the Detroit AFD, my point and click in Royal Oak, MI is down to 4". Whomp whomp.
Mine went from 6 to 5 in Columbiaville. I'll take it. Dogs will love plowing through it.

I have come a long way in the five years since I first accessed this amazing site. I learned a lot of new things, met a lot of great people. I have also met and exceeded goals, most of which I was told I would never make. I went from 245 pounds to 145 pounds. I became a published author of romance and romance/mystery books, 17 as of today, and working on two more. I left an abusive relationship only to find my true path with a disabled vet who convinced me to move to Michigan. I became a grandmother 3 times over to Kloe Marie, Autumn Breeze Lynn, and Symphony Rose Lynn. I went on a 23 state road trip in the summer of 2015 and had the most amazing time, and coming to the conclusion that being on the back of a Harley while going through the mountains is the best place to work out problems and storylines.
My daughter Amber and her 5 month old Autumn.
My son Patrick, his fiancee Hannah, and Symphony
Brian and his daughter Kloe
And of course, me:

_ichigan.....ewwwwwwww!! You look absolutely beautiful
Great pictures Burger your wife looks stunning in her dress
Thank you Buckeye, I really appreciate that. As for being in Michigan, besides being around my kids, the beautiful mountains of Ga, gardening, writing, doing my ceramics business, and sitting in the sun, Michigan gives me very happy memories. 5 Acres of wooded area, a pond, plenty of places to walk, and lots of sun to sit in, well, when it's not raining or having a hint of snow in the forecast!
-
Oh my goodness!! You look wonderful!!!
Thank you very much. I've been working hard, still have some ways to go, but happy with myself. From a tight 18 to a comfortable 4/6.
DAWG?
Exactly... what the heck r u doing?
What do you mean what am I doing? To lose weight?

sorry to hear you moved. Is that book about a mean case of blue****s?
I shouldn't let Rachel see that book. She might get.... Ideas.
I love the 99.2" of snow I've had in MI this year, but I do miss my mountains and the weather there. No, lol, not blue b***s. Rachel needs to read it! lol No ideas, well, maybe one or two.

Just a little update for ya'll about your resident author....I have 11 books published, lost 100 pounds, and moved to Michigan. That doesn't mean I don't stay updated with the SE states, though...lol. My kids are still in Ga, so have to.
One of the last books I've published so far...
-
Just a little update on me. I have 8 books published now, I've lost 85 pounds, and still have a ways to go, yet. I hope ya'll are enjoying these beautiful days!

I'm glad you didn't end up killing yourself All of the hard work has sure paid off Beautiful
I'm glad I didn't either, although still suffering from the side effects. The hard work has indeed paid off and still more to go. Thank you.
Good job. It's always great too see individuals making such an effort. Loosing weight especially in this country is very difficult!
I've tried it before, years and years, but I've never done it especially for me, always for someone else.
You look great! Oh by the way, the whole country thanks you.
Mexico has overtaken the United States as the fattest country on this half of the globe, CBS News reports.
With a 32.8 percent adult obesity rate, Mexico just inches past the 31.8 percent obesity rate in the United States, according to a study released last month by the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization.
Thank you, and on behalf of me to the whole country..."You're welcome!"
Hey, SnowMan, how'd you do on rain over there? Did the train come to your house?
Way to go Kitten!! T
Thanks, Tony!

A year ago I started on a journey that was, at the time unknown to me, either was going to kill me or make me a healthier and much stronger person. I didn't make myself a stronger person, though. Ended up almost killing myself. But, in the meantime I did get healthier, well, in a way. The two pics were taken 3 years apart. Hard to believe it's the same person.
