  1. 8” here,  My boss didn’t want to drive to Albany even though I have a 4x4 SUV... so teleconference from home LOL.  I know the correct answer when it’s given. ;) Roads aren’t that bad...where it’s plowed, just wet/slushy.  Some Light snow still falling.  I missed the good part of the storm overnight. Very meh at present.

It's coming down now.  Its gotta be snowing near you Bri, no?  If not hen it can't be far behind.

Just checked  Some snow mixing in now but still mainly rain. Ground temps so warm this wont accumulate much.. Or it better b4 daylight!  I can see grassy accumulations at least.

Nothing I looked at, saw or read said any of this but you may very well be right.  I saw a high tomorrow of 31 for KFZY so I guess we'll see!  Warning goes till 1AMN from KBGM which is quite surprising. anyway I'm still oprtimistic for at least 8" here so we'll see bruh!

Think RGEM and other models snow hole in CNY due to the xfer process...if I wasn't lazy af I'd post Skew-T's. This starts and ends liquid here, albeit brief.

Looks like it’s trying to flip but still mostly rain. Temp has dropped to 36.

I have 41 and also rain. We have a few hour window for snowfall until early afternoon. After the precip rate drops off and the BL being above 32F turns whatever is falling back to liquid.

So it started as snow everywhere else in NYS except here in Oswego County? Do both of you guys, Max and CNY, have rain falling or a mix?

Dude we rain. Temp has gone up 2 degrees in last 2 hours. This is a yawner here. Let's enjoy WNY's storm for a change! And SNE's virtual storm. ;)

I'll give it another hour an it'll be pounding rain here with a quick changeover, I hope, but the new discussion out of KBGM says it will rain till mid morning before changing over SE of the lake along the lake plain but I just can't see that happening but anything can happen here and its not usually good.  Good for all you guys who are experiencing a hybrid Nor'Easter, lol, as I have experienced about 20 while living in Jersey City.

Bruh, Soundings show a brief shot of snow here after rain. Hills a diff story.  I just realized this is a separate storm thread. LOL.  How New Englandish to have one.  Eww.

    41 and raining here.

  7. If you can handle the math in a meteorology program, just do engineering, preferably electrical or computer. Those folks are in high-demand right now.

Exactly right. Way more demand & much higher pay. I actually thought about a met degree at one point many yrs ago but everyone I talked to said go into engineering (or finance). They weren't wrong and likely even moreso today. Probably more private sector met opportunities exist today than 20-30 yrs ago but the engineering demand is much greater as the US continues to produce increasing volumes of WalMart greeters w/ hs diplomas.
