  1. Definately more snow in Syracuse than northern burbs. Close to 3" vs maybe 1" IMBY. Insulting.
  2. About 2-3" here downtown Cuse. About to journey north to home...
  3. Ground white in Syracuse now. Snow showers of varying intensity but Cuse is on the board at least.
  4. Light Snow showers now in Cuse...looks way better up at home near the Oswego county border.
  5. Not much happening in downtown SYR. Some occasional snow showers and flurries passing through. It is cloudy, windy and generally sh*tty outside though.
  6. Could be the case in CNY also. Hills south of SYR will do well with these winds, nearer the lake may get blown over. Seeding may help...and maybe some wind reduction.
  7. 41 and steady rain here. Looks like we will get some measurable snow accum more towards thursday a.m. here.
  8. This looks about right. Fun for the hills. Almost a nothingbuger elsewhere. We'll see about wed night.
  9. If that forecast panel verifies, would make the Patriots v Bolts playoff game interesting this Sunday, 1pm kickoff.
  10. You all up on or near the Tug enjoy the snow this week. Looking like nuisance amounts south of there. I missed out on a round of golf with friends this past Friday, too busy at work. Hopefully we can stay on the mild side and get in a round or two this month or in Feb. Looks very possible this winter.
  11. Got some outdoor cleanup done today and Holiday lights taken down. Really nice, low 40s with sun and light wind. Only snow left is a Trace in shady spots. Quite the mild stretch from basically mid December thru first full week of January. Seems to be a recurring theme. Odd.
  12. Looks like I picked the wrong winter not take an Alps vacation...
  13. Keep your grubby hands off Thor. We have enough problems with Doofus Owners and the idiot son. Looters and Poachers will be shot.
  14. Happy New Year from Charleston SC. 67 degrees here in the wee hours... Better than being drenched and cold. 76F forecast for NY Day. Maybe start working on the tan...;)
  15. I'll take that every day. 42" thus far this season IMBY. Over half of that was in November. Despite a weak December for snow we had the Christmas "miracle." It could be much worse. Jan-Mar (and 1/2 April) still to go. I've recorded 2 winters here, out of 14, where snowfall was close to 50" total...which is still ~2x the seasonal average of where I used to live along the I-95 corridor. So this winter season is a long way from a disaster despite a milquetoast performance in December. Though I realize many others have been less fortunate this season to date. Patience.
  16. Measured 5.8" last night. Melted was 0.53" so ratio was 10.9:1, about what I expected. I thought it might be even lower as it was relatively wet and plastered everything. Only a Trace since then. Definately jackpotted here as a few miles south in liverpool it looked like 3 or 4" when I left there last night. The trajectory was perfect for northern Onondaga county for several hours.
  17. Well, 5 75" and band has moved south into Syracuse and i-90 corridor and weakened. I cleared the snowboard so if we get a bit more stray stuff overnight we might squeak out 6". That's an honest snowfall, at least in these parts. Hard to call it Fake Snow though as it's probably 10:1. I'll do a melted in the a.m. with my daily reportage.
  18. Agree. Just got home from Liverpool, measured 5.5", real heavy wet shite.
  19. Pretty much light flurries here. Typical. We may snag another coating, which we'll need if we are to have this White Christmas thing, as the 3/4" cover we had mostly melted today.
  20. Sun is kind of out now. First times in days it seems. I’ll take it.
  21. Another 0.25” snow overnight. Drip, drip, drip... I don’t recall ever getting more than about 8” here on WNW flow with a purely LES event, IMBY. So, 1-5” makes sense as the fluff factor won’t be especially high.
  22. Well this would be a nice surprise. I was thinking we'd probably have more "atmosphere" snow then anything measurable. The 3/4" snow cover here is tenuous at best for making it till Christmas day..
  23. Also juicy IMBY. Keeping expectations in check though...
