10” lollipop over west ATL. Hard to ignore the signals that we get more than the inch or so forecast. -

Very little IP or ZR all hi Rez modles really are suggesting snow or rain and that’s it. -

Here in Douglas just west of Atlanta it’s going to be feast or famine. We’ve been safely in the snow on all models but a last minute jump of 20-40 miles will screw us over. I expect to see snow falling most of the day tomorrow but little accumulation. Possibly the Xmas day storm redux here in Atlanta. -

Tornados count relationship to hurricanes in NC

It was a good post but it's up to him to prove the theory. I obviously don't give it much credit. There are too many variables which can be framed to fit the limited data. -

The theory is right up there with earthquake and hurricane correlation. JMO but sometimes we look too hard trying to find patterns that are random. -

You guys can't really believe this stuff? Can you? correlation does not equal causation -

Yep dipole anomalies are known for the massive fram export. Lots of MYI goes down the toilet in those patterns.

I'm legit worried about brick. His head may have literally exploded.

Or on this storm. Never underestimate the NW trend. It happens a lot. I can't count the number of storms that looked good only to move north, way north.

You NWtrenders are borderline intolerable.

First ~ ten days of Jan or so are toast. After that some other posters I have respect for are seeing more realistic possibilities.

Nothing to see here. Move along as this is a hoax created by China.

Yeah, the whole arctic ice situation really isn't that bad.

The cheerleading in here by some is patently ridiculous. We are number two in the record books. There isn't much to hang a hat on except the date of the min where some can say they were right. So what? The ice is still in rough shape. Low bar is really low.

Me standing next to my banana pepper plant. I'm almost 6 feet tall. This guy did particularly well this season.

Planted last Sunday. tomatoes, peppers, squash varieties. All in all 14 plants. First time planting in ground this year. I found a small space that has been used previously that has some extremely rich soil. This is a property I bought in December, the previous owner must have been a gardener.

I've got weeds growing in this heat. Makes me want to plant a few things. Looking forward to the last freeze so I can start planting. I have a new property this year where I can actually plant in the ground instead of pots. Also scored some tomato seeds from my grandfather that he planted every year when he was still here.

Great pics guys!! I've been harvesting hot peppers for a few weeks now. My bell peppers are about ready to get picked. Tomatoes are all green but I anticipate more than I know what to do with in about a week or two. I plan on harvesting my first zucchini thhis weekend as well. I've had to water by hand nearly every play though, all in all I've found this to be a very rewarding and relaxing hobby. I get home from work and tend to my garden, it's "dirt therapy"

And caging ~ can anyone give me tips on when or when not to use them? Currently I have them on my two tomato plants and my two oldest & largest pepper plants.

Thanks man, I appreciate the tips. Luckily I had read about the extensive root structures of tomato plants and placed them in the largest containers. I did plant the two tomato plants in different sized containers and am finding that the one in the bigger pot is becoming a larger plant. You are correct as well the large containers are expensive, I'm going to try and look out for what you mentioned so next season I can give my plants even more room to grow as I do think I will run into an issue with constraint in at least one of the pots.
