  1. Which means they never should have been down 17 points to a four loss team, which means they should drop a considerable amount even in a win.
  2. SECESPN has just established the narrative: Prop up four loss Georgia Tech to save three loss Georgia. And just to be clear, if Alabama wins tomorrow and Georgia wins the SEC next week, the SEC will absolutely throw Texas under the bus as a newcomer to get three loss Alabama and three loss Georgia in the playoffs at the expense of Texas and Indiana.
  3. As it stands the rankings folks need to have a conversation. Tech is unranked. I don't care that they've beaten Florida State when they were ranked tenth in the ultimate argument for abolishing preseason polls or Miami, who should have at least three losses. They're 7-4 and unranked. Losing to an unranked team should cost a top 10 team at least 10-15 spots. This puts should be #22 Georgia in the SEC title game behind #9 SMU, #11 Boise State and #16 ASU. This is how the SEC champion finds themselves out. I don't care if Georgia ties this one at 20 and loses by a field goal at the buzzer. They're looking that ass against a four loss ACC team a week after letting UMass beat the spread. A loss should plummet them.
  4. Pre-Black Friday (THAT'S RACIST) Shopping has me sitting at wrasslin practice. Pre-Nooner conditions in Curwensville are 31°F and snowy.
  5. Because 70 car pile-ups are sexy. The news fuckin LOVES a 70 car pile-up.
  6. Easy to cash-in on the smallest holes when you're blessed with a battering ram that reaches from a thousand yards.
  7. I'd fire that coach today for that horrible time management. That was Franklinian.
  8. Miami struggling to deal with a cold night in Green Bay. Take notes, Georgia. This could be you.
  9. Goddamn that Cowboys game was rough. Those two teams suck some serious shit.
  10. The snow stopped right at the mountain outside of Bald Eagle, as expected. Currently in Orbisonia, it is 40°F with rain.
  11. Can't wait to slide down the mountain here in an hour or so. As you can see, it's snowing pretty good here.
  12. This is why I can go without the ocean. As much as I love the ocean, the only thing Beach Six doesn't have that the southern coast does is palm trees. Erie in August is spectacular. The lake is warm from the summer, the lake cools the coastline so while it's 85, 90°F in Millcreek Township, it's 84°F with a gentle breeze on the Isle. I love jumping waves, but I can satiate that at Waldameer just off the Isle. Great wave pool. Lake Erie is basically a glaciated swimming pool with an incredible sunset. And it's just up the road. Not a whole lot better.
  13. There's another lighthouse a little ways down the Isle from there that still gives tours. Climbing a lighthouse is one of the coolest, most terrifying things. Lighthouse keepers were crazy people for doing that job, being up there once an hour, every hour, to keep the torch going.
  14. It's mind-numbing how large this state is. Last summer I was mapping out a trip to Ohsweken on the Six Nations of Ontario for a trip to their race track. It's on the other side of the lake and because of that, it would take four hours, 43 minutes from here. That lead me to thinking: How far is Toronto? I've been to the Falls. Trip took three and a half hours. Add an extra hour and 20 minutes for Toronto. Four hours, 58 minutes. Philadelphia? Three hours, 41 minutes. New York? Four hours, eight minutes. Detroit? Five hours, 22 minutes. So from where my tuchus currently resides, I am only one hour, and 17 minutes further from the largest city in Canada than I am from the largest city in the state I live. Now imagine how hard it must be to be a forecaster at CTP knowing there's one layer of counties north and west of me that they are responsible for as well as counties at the Mason-Dixon Line.
