  1. From what I have read they gambled on the Astra Zeneca one and not enough on the mRNA ones. Oops
  2. Oh to be sure. A different breed though. My coworker is Australian. She even named her two daughters after two of the cities
  3. It’s very weird over there. I always thought of Australians as rebellious and cantankerous about rules etc. nice enough people for sure but independent.
  4. Nice to have the windows open for a while
  5. This is a good baseball park, despite the lights.
  6. A lot of what we are doing (hiking etc) is basically free. Dining etc is expensive
  7. One way to rate this month is by the HHPUF - The HoarfrostHubbPoolUseFactor I have not used it once this month... June was great for the pool. This month has been too cold, too stormy
  8. They shouldn't give them to you the day you get vaccinated... Should be a 2 week delay
  9. From a guy in a group I'm in from earlier today "Three days before departure, I booked rapid COVID tests for all of us, including kids. Test was done at 945AM Sunday at the main testing site in Reykjavik and took less than 10 minutes. I used my email as the contact for everyone and had results within a few hours. We also completed the attestation form on paper before going to the airport. I had printed them ahead of time and had them with me. At ticket counter, gave our passports and attestations to ticket person, showed our negative COVID results on my phone, one-by-one. No issues and everything moved very quickly for us this morning, but we'd been told the lines are long on the weekends."
  10. Actually looks like rapid tests in Iceland are around $33 each More shark for me
  11. Maybe it depends on the country/airline/person working that day? Most people I have been in contact with regarding travelling to Iceland said they ask for proof of vaccine at the airport and often times at the ticketing counter/gate in the US (depends on the airline too). Sometimes the people working don't know the current rules, etc. The time zone thing keeps screwing up the math in my head for when to get tested...lol...72 hours before arrival, 72 hours before departing... subtract the 5, carry the 7... the gozinta factor...
  12. Wow that's pricey Around $53 to get tested before returning to the US in Reykjavik. They more than make up for that in car rentals and fermented shark tastings
  13. There are probably dozens of people saying the same anytime valuations get up there. Some get lucky. Some might know something.
  14. Orange was a mess from what I hear
  15. I’m hoping I get upgraded to 5G
  16. Miller’s Falls MA at over 15” for July so far
  17. They recently dropped the testing requirement when landing (if fully vaxxed). This has to be a test done before you leave the US. not a huge deal for now. But I get not wanting to travel until this is all done. I really want to see the volcano
  18. That’s what I am thinking/hoping for. A small surge then dies down
  19. Meh. Rapid test is no big deal. Ot do you mean false positives?
  20. Just found out that we will need a negative test within 72 hours of arriving in Iceland. That is brand new
  21. Tues and Thurs look decent enough
  22. In Mass, DESE and the governor have already stated there will be no remote options available (thank goodness) other than the two that have existed for a number of years. I don't see that changing
