Perfect radiational cooling conditions
will allow temperatures to fall below freezing in most areas and
some locations could see temperatures into the mid 20s. A freeze
watch remains in effect and will likely be upgraded to a warning
later this afternoon.

I am looking at a forecast low of 27 right now. 

2.82" for the day and 3.75" since Friday. Dumping right now and will definitely get to 3" for the day before midnight.

Never had the drought concerns that you guys down south had but this enough!

Edit: One of the heaviest bands of snow in the NE is actually rotating into NE PA/Poconos right now, so there will be double digit totals. 

Have been under that band since 3PM. Sitting at about 7" and the heaviest snow of the storm occurring now. Forecast was for 6-10" so that is going be right on.

 Be careful interpreting
graphics, etc. in areas with rapid elevation changes. For
example, Lackawanna County is being kept in the Winter Storm
Warning mainly due to the higher terrain surrounding Scranton.
Higher elevations will see 5-8 inches, while Scranton itself may
struggle to get 3-5. Similar situation for the Tri-Cities, with
the valley seeing 4-6 inches, and the hills 7-9 inches.

Snow and 33 degrees. We will see what happens but BGM is hitting that elevation (1200 ft) is needed to go above 4-8". Wilkes-Bare and the valleys likely see <4".

Great write-up. BGM picking up on the "thread the needle" for a swath of heavy snow currently modeled north of Scranton and somewhere in the Twin Tiers. Fingers crossed for my backyard!

Brutal up here last night. Snow which turned to heavy and driving sleet through early AM. Picked up 2" of sleet. Roads were an absolute mess. Going to need to bend my knees to shovel concrete.

Driving back last night from DC was tough. Extremely dense fog and 32 degrees on 81 between 105 and 135. Ton of people pulled over to the side due to visibility. Crazy.

Came home to a slushy inch of WTF on the ground.
