Here’s my forecast in chalk hill: wintry mix tomorrow morning, rain to snow at night with 1” snow expected-Sunday morning snow showers with less than an 1” expected....
I live on the “mountain” up from Uniontown-about 2100 evelavation but according to the maps-elevation doesn’t seem to be a factor with this one? Our temperature is always about 4-6 degrees cooler up here than at the bottom of the sunmit
I wouldn’t look too much or get too excited/too down before the energy is east of the Rockies....or at the very least until it’s on our continent....both Euro and GFS had a bullseye dream job for us....too good too early? We’ll see
Saw the most recent NAM and IKON and both have our corner in lighter amounts with heavy to east in somerset and west into OH....figures-whT is it about our corner? The way the apps transfer energy and we end up in a hole?
yea I hope so-its just strange they put out a WWA-then 25 min later the local forecast went from 1-3 day 1-3 night to about an inch during the day and less than an inch at night lol...I wonder what model they use-I thought it was always straight GFS...
Watching day after tomorrow-not that I’d want a storm of THAT magnitude but something resembling winter would be nice! This pattern has been utterly miserable-end of rant
Yea weather.com sent me a notification the system now has a winter storm name and looked at my local daily forecast and showing cloudy with 10% chance snow Sunday lol
Even normal temps for December help to lighten the Christmas spirit-I’m fine with some flakes in the air-vs a few years ago when I was outside in shorts by a campfire on Christmas Eve! Winter hasn’t officially arrived but it sure will feel like it on Thanksgiving!
Changeover isn’t supposed to happen for our area until this evening....roads were icy up on the mountain here but all rain-maybe around 7-8pm we’ll switch over
