28F at SFM ... we freeze

Felt like a summah's day yesterday at 84/67, but a/c not needed. Was never installed this year anyway.

The proper acronym for the heat humpers is ASSHATT, (Always Searing Sizzling Heat All The Time)
I've been trying to figure out that acronym myself ... lol!

Some people see it as a badge of honor..perhaps like a "my weenie is bigger than yours" type thing if you can be without it. I don't care if I lived in Nicaragua or Nunavut...if the dews are high, we A/C.
It's an acclimation thing (and a cheap bastid thing, too, in my case) - dews under 70 are NBD now. Fan in the window is all I need.

It'll feel amazing to have the windows open again

Lets look again after today shall we? We would check your dews, But Not sure if we should check ORH, BDL or BDR, Guess it would be the higher of the three.
We have like 12 hours of 65+ dews, right?
Think I'll live

Not a bad scenario as the models show now. Can sit back and watch Flo rip someone's a$$ up from the comforts of my own home while enjoying the late summer weather as the WAR flexes its muscles. Not against that at all.
+1
Heading to Acadia next weekend ... sun and 70s would be a good gig.

These damn suicidal squirrels are ticking me off! WTF! Bad enough dodging them on the drive home but this morning the coffee was flying around the car everytime I slammed on the brakes to spare one of these indecisive self loathing critters. I have no idea what is up with them this year. It hasn't been so dry up here that they would not be able to find food in a different pattern this year. The crows are having a feast however.
I don't even bother hitting the brakes or try to dodge them any longer. Straight line and constant speed ... let their maker sort them out.

Was there a confirmed tornado in CT yesterday?
i know some of the cells were close...haven’t yet checked BOX info
I want nothing to do with them. I have no idea how people can live in an area where they are common. I would lose it.
I lived in Kansas for 13 years and never saw a tornado, nor did any touch down near where I lived. Have had three pretty close to me since I moved to Maine. Plains storms are pretty magnificent to watch roll in though

70/55 at ORH. Didn't know 70F was mid 80s.
Low dews is kind of the key deal anyway

Any details?
Nothing firsthand. One of the local stations said several had overturned on the East End, and there were some photos on various social media

Yeah, an IG person I follow said they were out on their sailboat in Casco Bay during it. They took down the sails but still almost flipped over.

Surprised at no mention of what happened in Portland yesterday. Trees uprooted, boats capsized. Unfortunately I was not in town to witness the carnage firsthand

Picked a nymph tick off of me about a month ago ... three weeks later had an expanding rash. Doc took one look and said, "yep, that's Lyme!" Early detection, though, so no long-term issues expected
